go to r/battlestations, his desk is the most mainstream thing there and you can look at how other people decorated it. Not saying its bad, just saying if this was a reddit post he probably wouldnt get that much attention.
Ahh this video came at perfect time! I just started a new job and after not working for a month, going back to desk work is making my back HURT. Will try out these tips 💕
I too have become more comfortable with programming since I started using Mx keys. My monitor and speakers are old and I would consider buying a new one based on this video. Thank you.
I have these two huge Edifier (R2700) studio speakers on my desk, and I can confidently say they are some of the best purchases I've ever made. I use them pretty much all the time while I'm on the computer, and good sound quality makes a world of difference.
Perfect desk setup for programmers : - 27 inch 4k Monitor - 16 Inch Laptop (Macbook Pro 16 Inch) - Good desk light - A good desk, spacious but not too big (150cm, Fixed). - A good ergo chair.
I’m a dual monitor kind of guy myself, though I would like to add a large(30+) center one. Also, nothing beats cherry switches. As far as speakers go a good parts-express build.
I need one of those standing desks... Im just a gamer atm (here to try to find some real life motivaton) but still im sitting like 10hrs a day, that desk looks very life changing..
One thing I've discovered is that a pair of good speakers largely improve the quality of life and work. I've put two good-old (bought in 1984) Bose 101MM speakers with a small external amplifier Fostex AP20d connected to Roland Rubix24 audio interface connected to the Mac mini 2018 for work. The speakers give the right sound (which I've been listening to for the past 36 years(!)) with the right stereo image with well-aligned phases of the two speakers.
For anyone on Windows 10 and using single monitor... Windows+Tab -> New Desktop Ctrl+Windows+LeftArrow/RightArrow to switch between desktops You're welcome 😊
I also love it when the walls are painted white, the table is the color of wood, and the plants, but table speakers for a minimalist superfluous. I only have headphones. I think 60% of the keyboard is more comfortable to use. And the sound of blue switches replaces my music
Ideally you should have 3 monitors. One for your IDE, one to run your simulator or emulator (if you are an Android dev) to test your app, and another one to display API help/stackoverflow/etc. 😎
I prefer a multi-level desk that has a lower portion for keyboard and mouse to prevent arm strain, a higher potion for the monitor to prevent neck strain, and a portion of normal height for other tasks. in some cases, the keyboard portion can slide under the desk to save space. On my desk, the mouse portion can also slide under the keyboard portion to save even more space. Such a desk would look a bit bulky, naturally, and would also not give you a lot of leg room.
everyone and there mother has the ikea countertop and drawer stands . Standing or adjustable desks make much more sense for someone who spends all day at the computer.
I have to say, as an owner of logi mx mice, you should try the new pwnage wireless gaming mice. The light weight really makes a huge difference for productivity imo.
We have applied the maximum personalization for the comfort of our posture, setup multiple monitors, dancing moitors, curved keyboard, glowing mice, adjustible chairs and multiple PC setup with some music to boost our workflow from stack overflow which will give us a ralaxation to our shoulder, wrist, body and mind for long long double hours. Now we will code better. //just for fun.
Both you guys should consider switching to 144hz or higher monitors. It really makes a difference and you'd notice the difference right away with your first cursor motion.
@@SAMUELTHESIXTH Tbh not many companies provide their employees with 144hz or better laptops so my comment wouldn't make too much sense if you know you're given a max 60hz refresh rate device. The 2015 MacBook Pro won't be able to run a 144hz monitor. Unless you upgrade its gpu somehow, build your own PC with a graphics card capable of running 144hz, or buy a gaming laptop that has a more powerful graphics card, it wouldn't be possible. BUT once you try a monitor or any device with a 144hz display, I can guarantee you won't want to go back and it's dangerous haha.
I just tried to setup my own macbook pro desk, but have a problem with my wifi performance on my mac when it entering clamshell mode (close lid) anyone has a same problem with me?
Help me to decide - one curved 34inch WQHD screen or two 1080p 24inch monitors or one 27inch 1440p flat monitor for programming? Which monitor setup is the best for programming?
Can an IT student be a software engineer? We have specialization in software technologies too. As sophomore in college, I knew two languages (Java, C++) and planned to study python soon. PS. I binge-watch all your contents since yesterday!! I admire you a lot Ms. Mayuko.
If you learn some of the basic languages then yes. Most companies just want a degree and if you're capable of being a software engineer, which really just entails using programming to solve issues, then you'll be fine. Most of your learning will come when you're actually given something to do and you'll need to figure out how to do it.

I became a big fan of your voice
Hi my name is Tanaka I am from South Africa and would like to know what it takes to be a software engineer
Is GYASI a Ghanaian..?
One feedback would be to talk a bit fast. Maybe some people would like when you are talking at this speed too. Just my opinion ✌
been working from home for months and I finally upgraded from just a laptop on a couch, I finally feel like I have my life together now
i am not a programmer and my major is not even related to CS or software engineering but i enjoy watching this videos so much idk why
You’re always welcome here ❤️
Out of everything I think having a monitor arm stand is one of the best upgrade I made.
My standing desk really helped with my mouse shoulder for some reason
Yeah my life saviour of Android is here... Please make Flutter tutorial too please😍

@OverSidetracking No but I have a trackball mouse

All the setup to code "Hello World"
😂😂
Syntax error
Me 🤣🤣🤣
Agreed 😅😅
All of the pain of making a clean desk setup just print(“hello world”)
Or console.log(“hello world”)

This was such a detailed explanation of every component of your set up, Im definitely going to look into standing desks now!
Bought one myself a few months ago after having to work from home. They're excellent, for work or for play.
can't relate, I code while laying on my bed.
Me neither, I seat like Buddha.

hey i’m an 18 yr old comp sci student @kent state university i just wanted to say this video motivated me to code more than i play video games
- L desk, my elbows are resting
- triple monitors
- DAC for sound modulation
- Keyboard with lots of macros
ok
go for powered bookshelf speakers from audio manufacturers guys, tiny PC speakers aren't doing your cool chill hop mixes and certified bops justice
