Ondeh ondeh is a favourite snack of many people. But good ondeh ondeh is hard to come by these days. What was simply amazing to us was seeing the gula melaka syrup oozing out when we cut into it! Imagine the taste of it when you bite into this kueh and the sweetness of gula melaka exploding in your mouth.
So we were pleasantly delighted when we finally succeeded in making this yummy snack. Let me share with you our humble recipe.

No I've not tried that but I think it should work. It may be a bit messy though.

Kindly share the brand of gula melaka you used for Ondel ondel. I get confused when alot of gula melaka advertised pure and not sure which brand to buy. Thank you
The brand that I used is " MADAM YAP's 100% Pure Filtered Gula Melaka" I got it at Jonker Street in Melaka. So far I find theirs the best.

How to make the palm sugar ball
Grate the palm sugar and roll it in between the palm of your hands. The grated palm sugar will stick together as you roll into a ball.
How should the leftovers be reheated?
You don't really have to reheat it. Simply thaw to room temp after removing from the fridge. Or you can eat it chilled.
