You pay roughly $2000-3000 *per eye* for Lasik eye surgery so whatever clinic you go too to get it done, that Doctor and staff better be nothing but sugar and spice from the moment you first walk in the door for a consult til the moment you leave after getting the surgery done. lol If they're not dripping with kindness and professionalism when you go in for that very first consultation, you need to turn around immediately and don't look back. Never forget you're paying them big bucks and doing them the favor for choosing their clinic to do the job.

I am retired RN. One thing I saw during the procedure that is a concern did not understand WHY wasn’t the doctor wearing surgical gloves while performing your actual surgery. Totally did not make sense?? Glad it’s over for you Evan👏👏👏 Praying 🙏 surgery was successful. Love you all❤️✝️❤️

I just want to say THANK YOU for the warning before showing the eye surgery. I am SO squeamish about eyes but am thinking about getting lasik. I knew you would give an honest opinion and it makes me want to go through with it.
Evan take a breath. It’s OK I had both of my lenses replaced. Lasik is nothing compared to that. They literally take the lens out of your eyeball and you go blind. They pop a new lenses back in. You’re totally awake. You do not feel nothing. You just know when you get that lens back in you can see everything. I’m sure you’re recovering just fine! 💕💕
I’m half way through and as a nurse was getting tickled… you can tell the medication is starting to help Evan… he was holding in laughter when the doctor was explaining the procedure and started saying “flap” lol! Also when you are talking quietly in this video you remind me so much of your sister, Katie! I've never thought that before! But something about the way you are talking in almost a whisper and your expressions
So cool they let you video the surgery. I had it done 18 years ago, Best decision but had to have touch up around age 50 but they let me know that was a possibility

My husband also had LASIK back in 2015. He never regretted it. Hasn't had any issues at all since. He has to wear sunglasses outside for like 6 months to a year after but that's nothing. Congratulations.
Got lasik in 2011 and have loved it! I know it’s expensive, but it’s so nice to not have to pay for glasses or contacts for years and years. I think you save in the long run! So happy for you!
Did you give Dr. Stewart a Stew Crew hat? 😊. I think they say no cologne because of other patients or even staff that are allergic to certain smells. Some people get really bad headaches. I work in a hospital and we’re not allowed to wear perfume. Also, life insurance is a must if you can afford it. I seen first hand how it helps a family. My brother in law passed away at the age of 47 from cancer. My sister had always been a stay home mom. Having life insurance she was able to pay off her house. My brother in law before he passed away told me to make sure she did and that he didn’t care what else she did with the money. The only thing he wanted was for her and kids to always have a place to live! So glad your surgery went good Evan!

Had it done. They gave me Valium to chew. The worse thing about the surgery was the thing that held your eyelids open. Afterwards it was so bright I couldn't see and it hurt. By evening I was fine and could see great.
Evan you ae right. You need to have life insurance. You need to have money for a funeral too. So important topic for sure. However, I highly suggest you preplan funeral when you are not emotional. There is no need to let an unscrupulous funeral director find out how much the life insurance policy is and sell you an expensive funeral you don’t need. I saw it over and over as a hospice nurse. Good to have these discussions.

I had Lasik done a little over a year ago. Best decision ever! I had glasses since 1st grade and was 39 when I got Lasik. No regrets!

When I went in for my Lasiks the Dr. had given me a prescription for valium to take an hour before my surgery. So I was feeling really good.
