Since she's been with her husband, her voice seems to have become more stronger... when David Foster is your husband, the pressure is immense. Wife or not.
Maybe it's not because she feels pressured, but rather because she feels safe and secure. Having someone she loves, her husband, by her side on stage provides her with comfort and confidence. His presence reassures her, making the experience more enjoyable and less daunting.

She sang a silly pop song, wasn't good and she lost. kelly Clarkson hated be told what to sing and where to sing it, but was locked in. She commented how wonderful it was to sing what she wanted after her 15 years
Yes I noticed when sang “…halfway there,” she drops THERE in such a way that it loses all strength, so I was straining to hear the finish of that word. Still she is a great singer. Also, I agree that she needs to create more of a vocal tension as she transitions from register to another, as it makes the song lose its drama. THAT is what BS is a master of.
i loved her on AI, but not impressed with her first CD after she won. sort of turned me off of her as i thought she was abandoning the type of music she sings so well. but, that is me.

Katherine has more charm, more soul, more beauty and sings 10,000 times better then Streisand ever could or will again, I can watch David and Katherine perform together all day and all night, their chemistry is so infectious and beautiful.
