    This song is so melodic, poetic and beautiful ,For me : this song is an unknown gem uncovered by "HBO's Vinyl", and I shall so miss the series .Queen was an intellectual and sophisticated rock band, both lyrically and instrumentally .I had the good fortune to see them at Maddy-Square Garden at age 15. Freddy in his harlequin ones-y had me in such an excited state ... I literally ran laps about the stadium until I was breathless. I was beyond exhilarated to be there to experience this amazing band ! Now at age 55 and after attending many, many concerts for my simple love of music - this performance was unforgettable .

    I challenged myself to finally listen to all of Queen's albums to be able to tell I know every single song by them. And what I've noticed so far while listening to the first album is that Freddie's been singing really high here. And of course Deaky's bass... wow. Shame he didn't get to jam that much when their music evolved, especially in 80s.

  • @SP-yl1qz
    @SP-yl1qz Před 8 měsíci +1

    That photo at the beginning of this video showing the band sitting all together was taken at 100 Holland Road, Kensington, London. It was Freddie's first flat. Apparently it was very small and Fred didn't have a lot of money for furnishings, but apparently Fred had a good eye for that kind of thing, and so bought things like strange coloured glass and quality vintage fabric cheaply from charity shops, market stalls and so on. Apparently the effect was quite striking considering it was done on the cheap.
