Pandit Pravin Godkhindi :
Born in a family of musicians, music is a divine blessing to Pravin. He hails from Dharwad, a place which has given to the world many great musicians like Pt Bhimsen Joshi, Gangubai Hangal and Pt Kumar Gandharva. He is fortunate to have his father Pandit VENKATESH GODKHINDI, an eminent vocalist and Bansuri artiste of the country, as his first and only Guru for Flute. Pravin started toying with a small flute at the tender age of 3 and since then it has been his best companion. His passion for Flute could hardly be matched with anything else even during his childhood. With such a passion blended with early hours of rigorous Riyaz under the able guidance of his guru, Pravin started exhibiting the glimpses of a genius in the making. Pravin gave his first public concert at the age of 6 years and held the audience spellbound. His quest for deeper knowledge about LAYAKAARI brought him to his Guru, Vidwan ANOOR ANANTH KRISHNA SHARMA a reputed Mridangam artiste who is providing able guidance to Pravin on the deeper aspects of LAYA and LAYAKAARI. His father has taught him Hindustani BANSURI in KIRANA GHARAANA GAYAKI STYLE. But Pravin added the GATKAARI or TANTRAKAARI STYLE by his own efforts and succeeded in it. He is adept in both the styles. Sonorous blowing, control over the breath, elaboraCons of Raga with its aesthetic appeal, extraordinary and skillful rendition of Layakaari are but a few salient features of his flute recital. He has been ably balancing both tradiConal and creative music. Western classical, Jazz and Carnatic classical also have favorably influenced him. A front-ranker from the beginning, Pravin has completed his B.E (Electrical and Electronics) in first class with Distinction.

Shri Kiran Yavgal :
Kiran R Yavagal, a A grade artiste of All India Radio & Doordarshan, started showing interest towards art of Tabala in a very tender age of four (born on 4th Oct.1987). He comes from a family of musical background. His father, Pt. Ravindra Yavagal is a noted tabala artiste. His maternal grand father, late Shri. Kalidas Bankar was a noted music teacher, who was running a music school called “Saraswati Sangeet Vidyalaya” at Hubli. Apart from learning from his father, He has taken lessons from Shri. Udayraj Karpur & Shri. M. Nagesh. Now He’s also receiving guidance from Pt. Sheshagiri Hangal. He has participated in many programmes and a competition meant for children & Youths, and has won several prizes and appreciations.
Participated in “Nandalala Makkala Sangha” programme on 17-5-97. Participated in summer workshop conducted by “Public Education Dept”, called “Chaitra Chiguru”. Participated in a programme named “Taliru” organized by I.C.M. Samscrutika Kendra and Saraswati Sangeeta Vidyalaya Bangalore. Won 1st prize in competitions held by E-TV, Kannada Minugu Tare Competitions held on 9-7-2000. Recipient of Scholarship from Centre for Cultural Resource & Training, Dept. of Culture, Govt.of India, New Delhi. Gave solo recital in prestigious “Sawai Gandharva Sangeeta Samaroh” at Kundagol on 20-11-2004. He has given tabala solo performances along with his father in Rahimatkhansaheb’s memorial sangeet sammelan at Dharwad, 94th birthday celebration of legendry vocalist Dr. Gangubai Hangal at Sawai Gandharva Hall, Hubli, to mention few.
Has accompanied many top artistes like Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Ullas Bapat, Vid Yella Venkateshwara Rao , Pt. Ronu Majumdar, Pt. Vinayak Torvi to mention a few.
