It's not even a sensible comparison at this point, and frankly, I'm not the biggest fan of this new movie compared to any featuring Caesar. However, that's what makes Noa remarkable. He embodies the essence of a true successor to the GOAT, and it's evident from the ending-which, by the way, was one of my favorite parts-that Noa possesses the potential to match and perhaps even exceed the GOAT. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. The day we get a trailer for the sequel will be magnificent, mark my words. Noa has already achieved GOAT status in his own right. Mae and Rocka have also won my affection.

Some of the oratatagauns from the original era probably remember Maurice and Nova’s bonding with each other and spread it generation to generation as legend , thus why they call human females “nova”
Noah reminds me of Ceaser in so many ways and in a fashion we might see him become just as influential as Ceaser in what could potentially be the salvation of human kind to live amongst apes.

I just booked my ticket for the day of release in Glasgow at the Vue cinema with it's recliner seats
just me or does the cgi look a little worse in this one than the last one

It’s not worse, the rendering is top notch. They seem to have changed the ape designs to look a bit more human-like but that also makes them a bit uncanny
Tldr: the cgi isn’t bad, the models just look less realistic than the previous ones

I would like to see a movie actually based on the novel depicting the apes as technologically advanced species instead of Bronze Age.
i've been excited for this film but the cgi is on par with the first movie rise of the planet of the apes. there were scenes in war for the planet of the apes with morice/luca/bad ape and sometimes ceasar where its hard to tell you're watching a gci character in parts it genuinely looked like real life. and then you have this new film that disney have brought the rights to and its no secret disney are leaking money so they have clearly nerfed the cgi budget for this film just to gain more money out of it. its actually a shame and before people say it was the same team that did the cgi for war of the planet of the apes that might be true but it doesnt mean disney paid them enough to create the same level of work

It looks like they are going back to the roots of the very first original. I liked rise of planet of the apes the 1st remake, but the two sequels were meh. I actually preferred the Tim Burton remake and it halls less CGI.
