- As 2AM rolled around, the 2013 Bonnaroo SuperJam had already treated the audience to massive surprises such as Brittany Howard of the Alabama Shakes and R. Kelly. Everyone was on cloud nine. As the band performed their first encore, they couldn't help but wonder... would Billy Idol make it over to the SuperJam in time for the final surprise of the night? In the end, Billy Idol appeared out of nowhere as the crowd erupted with a roar of excitement and the band launched into a monstrous take on T. Rex's "Bang a Gong (Get It On)". I'm gonna be like the 4000th person to cover this. Love hearing different interpretations. The original is a work of art, and I find little things in the recording every time I listen to it, and I listen to it a lot. This one is fun, too. BIlly looks good for however old he must be.

I remember seeing Billy on TOTP around 1978 with Generation X with the full on punk/rock attitude performed to perfection. I never saw any lack of confidence. Watching this he appears to be unconfident of what he is and brings to the table, maybe because he is around top musicians. Billy, never forget what you are good at. That is your individual quality which no one else has.
