For several turns it was
*Yusei summons a monster and ends his turn*
*Yugi attacks with 'BLACK MAGIC!'*
if only legacy of the duelist had voice acting...but it's a pretty low-budget game i think
Yusei makes a comeback with ALOT of thinking.but still loses to yugi who didn't think much.

+TheMighty AntiFanboy Probably because of the 4Kids dub calling him "Yami" - even though 'yami' is just the Japanese word for 'dark/darkness'. But, yes, his real name is Atem.

yami would be an xyz/fusion-deck user xD
1.Yami Yugi is at most a fusion user but not that much since he can survive without the use of fusion most of the time and moreover,he will be broken if he is a synchro/xyz/pundulum user.
2.He only uses synchro/xyz/pundulum monster if he summons the monster through his spell card 'resuration of the dead'(xyz monsters will be the last thing atem would take since his spell card does not take along xyz materials)
3.That won't make him much of a difference if Atem were to be a full time fusion user.
4.God cards is the very reason he does not need to be synchro/xyz/pendulum user.

I think this was made with the intention of showing you don't need fusions or overpowered cars to beat synchros or the new cards
Muddy_Army MrStraw77 Naw, Yusei just ded handed this entire duel and Atem's deck was a natural anti-thesis to his Fudo-style Solitaire, Beatstick Beatdown. Gorz and his D-Draw BLS saved Atem's ass.
Waaba Boi this is a real card game, not anime, if yugi has polymerization or god cards, they will be dead draw most of the time
Synchro Summoner IDK lol, just cause it works on anime doesn't mean it can't work in the real game, *poly* wouldn't exactly be dead cause he can bring the materials for Quimera and Dark Palladin with ease (or at least there's already real cards for it) as for the *gods*, best version of Yugi deck has the Tricky and some spell combo or the Kings-Queen-Jack knights combo to pull it off consistently... but that's just how i see things in his deck though
rag1259 i disagree, Gorz and BLS are exactly what i mean as well for _"you don't need fusions or overpowered cars to beat synchros or the new cards"_ cause they're both simply nice cards to have, also dead hands happen even to the most "meta" of decks lol
