Great game and atmosphere. Love it. Proper football, proper fans from both sides. Total respect from the Toon.
If that goal is given, and rightly should of been, (clearly) then it's totally different game.
You should be finishing 1st with that team.
Although I'm hoping my team Torquay are up there, or there abouts come May.

How the officials failed to give that goal is absolutely ridiculous! Bounces over the line twice. Comical!
And the two penalties. I went to the game as I get free tickets with work, and was sat parallel to the goal line in the vernon stand. Was pissing myself at how the officials didn't give the goal.
It was behind the line for about 2 seconds aswel 🤦🏻♂️
These highlights aren't the same without the dulcet tones of Jon Keighren.
A game certainly full of controversy, but after watching these highlights I can confidently say:
1. Tshimanga was onside for the first which is shown by Macca’s position.
2. Hogan was fouled in the build up to Asante’s goal by Tshimanga.
3. Palmers header was over the line, and should have been registered as a goal.
4. King’s challenge was completely reckless and both feet appeared to be off the ground when he lunged in at Rydel, so a red card was the only option.
That was a goal
Ref and linesmen were severely out of their depth for a 10k crowd and 1st v 2nd in the league.
Never felt like he had control of the game from first minute
1) header was so very obviously over the line
2) highlights didn't show stonewall penalty in first half and probably pen in second half
3) Chestrfield's time wasting antics were pathetic. Their keeper nearly ran all the way to Castle Street and back before one goal kick!
4) Tshimanga is absolute quality at this level
5) County are going up
6) The atmosphere was unbelievable. 10,000+ for a 5th-tier game is incredible
7) never heard a peep from 1500+ Chesterfield fans until the final whistle
They won the world cup at full time as well did you not know?

Don't really mind chesterfield as a club. Prior to that if it was them going up rather than us I'd think well done etc etc. but for that and that alone celebrating a draw like that in February?! Nah not having it hope it's not them even if it's not us. Lol
The match was full of mistakes by officials but good to see a packed out EP backing the lads to the end
Ref was smokin spice. Genuinely don’t know how his performance isn’t being investigated by MI5 let alone the FA
Officials were abysmal. Hogan getting clattered in the back in the build up to their second was every bit as obvious as the ball crossing the line

As a chesterfield fan being at the game of top quality and emotion what footy is all about
Clearly a goal by Magic Hat.
Never a sending off but look at the ref. He was clearly playing on until influenced by the racket on the Stockport bench. Chesterfield would have won at a canter had King not been sent off.

I've never seen so obvious a goal, not disallowed, but ignored. Why do we have linesmen any more? The ref could be blamed, but he could've been unsighted, whereas the linesman must've been able to see that. Do linesmen actually do anything any more? Chesterfield's 1st looked a classy goal, what happened on their 2nd? Was it a deflection or was Hinch unsighted?
I think the sending off tackle was clumsy, but possibly the ref trying to make up. County had 2 good penalty shouts not seen on this vid, so Chesterfield can not claim that they were harshly dealt with. In the final analysis, Chesterfield, one of the best in the league looked a second rate side against County. They gained a point against an obviously superior side after being 2 up, fair play to them. But County were the better side by a mile.
Chesterfield are the best side in the division by depth of squad alone. When they had 12 players our injured they were winning game left right and centre. That doesn't mean they will win the title. Refs decisions can make or break a team as we saw. They were well on their way to victory even if Stockport's goal had been given but the sending off did for them.
@@williamdeypres1122 I disagree that they were "well on their way to victory". They had a great start obviously, but did little after. Who wouldn't take a goal over a sending off? Chesterfield went into defensive mode because County after a slow start forced them too.

Never a red in a million years, referee changed big style second half after been booed off by the home fans at half time, gave them everything second half, if you look the so called goal for Stockport on first half is a foul on our keeper anyway, there’s no foul in the build up to our second goal, the ref ruined the game and it showed fully why your top because if all refs are reacting to your crowd and your bench who were a disgrace then that’s why, roll on may 2nd at our place hopefully a better ref who won’t be swung by your horrible antics
There was a foul by Tshimanga in the build up to Chesterfield’s second goal so that shouldn’t have stood and Chesterfield barely threatened to score after they got their second. The game went the way it did because of the Ref and his bad decisions, but the challenge by Jeff King was a sending off. It was reckless and he clearly let the occasion get the better of him. He was goading the home fans in the first half and I can see from his disciplinary history that he is prone to picking up cards.
