Dholak Making - Ahmedabad

Dholak is a well-known folk instrument of India which becomes part of all the celebrations that take place in northern states. The music energizes one to dance and enjoy the occasion to the best. The instrument is played slung across shoulder or played placing it on the ground. The two side headed drum produces great music and comes in various sizes depending on whether it is used by the children or elder ones, a starter or an experienced player. It is played when it is struck by hands on both sides. Gujarat is rich for its culture and traditions, and Ahmedabad a district of Gujarat known for handicrafts with traditional and modern flairs. Among the traditional handicrafts practiced, Dholak making is seen in one of the areas of Ahmedabad called Geekantha.

Where did you show how the Dholak is made? Did I miss it??? Watched this video because the title is "Dholak Making." In reality it has absolutely NOTHING to do with that, but instead is a showcase on how the head of a Dholak is made and attached to the drum. Sorry, but this video is a complete waste of time for someone searching information on how the instrument is actually made. Please retitle your video so others aren't mislead here due to this absolutely deceptive title.
