Me too it's not their fault they lost all their sanity because after all they sacrificed they were not treated kindly or appreciated and they had to lose even more but still were treated so bad I think I've gone crazy but I find it reasonable for them to act that way cause dude they are not saints or Buddha's to forgive and be good after all the shit they been through

Spoiler: The dark part about all of this, is that he had to have a crappy life in order for the world to keep going. You see the return hero is in a literal state of limbo and no matter what happens the world will be reset back to where it was suppost to be. He lived at in old age with his beloved, got murdered countless times even by other heroes but he cant stop the restart unless he dies from the demon king himself. But since there werent any demon kings in the world, he had to maek one. The sword hero was the only one to do so because he had power that was unrivaled and had the potential to change. To get him there, he made sure the sword hero's life was a living hell, not have connection with anyone including the other heroes and had to watch the only thing that tied to his humanity(his party) get killed right infront of him. As his soul almost slips into darkness, his arms and legs being eaten by the same undead army that butchered his party, he arose as the physical representation of evil, the demon king...
I understand why those heroes did what they did it wasn’t right but I understand it and I probably would’ve done the same thing
Same, but I would've think through it more deeply even while suffering through those at the moment, then finally decide whether my world is worth sparing or not. If I can't choose between the two, then I'll just leave altogether while keeping tabs of the situation at that world if I could but I wouldn't do anything since I'm not a part of that world anymore... Is what I'd do tbh.

OO MAN my thoughts are conflicted , he should not have killed millions , but I feel bad for him . 1st mc . AS i said before they isekied people who don't have and other lingering attachments. BUT story could have played in some other way .

It started with one guy and now it’s starting to another guy go back to the first one because his life sucks. I think he’s should second chance. The gods should of gave him a second chance, because is there fault he was sent to that world so instead of killing everyone, I think you should ask for a second chance. I’ll be pissed if that with the god did to me after saving the world
this is much more enjoyable and easier than reading when part 2 gona come out

If I had to guess, 80% of the heroes would become monsters after returning, while 20% wouldn't. It all depends on the situation before they left, like when you live alone and you don't socialize much, and whether or not there is something precious that they left there, are the reasons they wouldn't become monsters.
If I were to become just like them, I'd probably ask them to not let the heroes return to their home world, for their sake and fo their world's sake. That's just my opinion, and a safe one at that.

I was hoping for a good story from the villains perspective, instead I got a story of people who were treated badly, abused and labeled villains. Then a self proclaimed hero comes and starts killing them. Meh
I'm of the personal opinion that you lose the right to be empathized with once you accumulate the body counts that all of the Rogue Heroes did and to a certain extent I don't think they necessarily deserve sympathy either.
Yes, they've all had tragic pasts but also, they've killed hundreds of thousands of people as well as wreaked havoc and lorded over a country for a year so in all reality they can only really be considered villains at this point.
Emotional lash outs only last so long and things have far exceeded the point where things could be blamed on such a lashout.
It's a conscious choice they've made at this point.
Well, that's sad because the spear hero is barely in the story.

edit: I have feeling that, all of this was the demon kings plan, all along. if you ever watch anime called "Arachne", the demon is perfect.
Ngl the story is pretty interesting but there is a bit problem that maybe i only see in my mind. First that the main character have a bit little too much plot armor, i dont know but everytime i see him the blue haired mainc character it always make my brain think that "he is too straight forward". And second is about the story. Since the first hero (hero sword) have a sad afterstory then why dont some people feel a bit empathy for him? I mean i know he is a bit too much but isn't that a bit fair for him? I mean its also their fault for not listening to him and... If the hero sword got defeated by the blue haired main character i will be crazy. I just ask myself "why dont he try to be the first hero then? Why dont he know how the Hero sword feels?" I mean i know that his sister died because of hero sword but come on atleast try to become the "first hero" so you can try the experience the hero sword have been going through.
I wish this story could have end with everybody dying so there isnt a good ending

They aren't selfish, they lose their family, have no job, lose their friends, doesn't get further education for a job, they're basically unable to live with no money, that's basically forced suicide..
