That's all we've ever had in this country is a bill of TEMPORARY privileges; and if you read the news, even badly, you know the list get's shorter, and shorter, and shorter." @will4417 Před měsícem +5

That's what rights are in essence though. The idea of "natural" rights as if you could find them under a rock in the state of nature is utterly absurd. In this case, the contract is the Constitution and the laws it allowed, and they define the relationship between the state and the citizen. It's an asymmetrical contract where the state can change the terms, the citizen cannot. No one in his right mind would agree to an agreement of this nature, so they came up with the idea of "social contract", and claim that we consent to it.

Government equipment should not have applications dedicated mostly for leisure. Government workers shouldn't use their work equipment for personal purposes. Those policies are fine. The problem starts if they start censoring it for personal devices or, even worse, the entire population.
Same if you run a business and you lend your equipment to your employees. You're entitled to determine not only what's not allowed but you can only allow specific tools and urls that are strictly related to your activity, so your employees don't waste time and energy while they're working, on top of potential security issues.

Every time I leave the United States I feel like I can relax a hundred percent. If I see a policeman, there's no feeling of being pulled over by them and the questioning this and that. Money can buy so much more. The food is so delicious. People there are not rich but they enjoy their time much more than here. And family is so important also. It is just a feeling of home and relaxation that you can never feel in the United States. Every time I boarded the plane to come back I hate it. Loatheee coming back.

The less populated places don’t get the representation to have any power but reality is that more Canadians voted for the Conservative party than the Liberals in the last election. That said, the majority of Canadians voted for a leftist party Liberal or NDP. So those 2 parties formed a coalition government so that is why he’s still there. I think the majority of Canadians don’t really understand what’s happening because the media is funded by the government and is highly censored. We moved our family out a few years ago and I’m so happy we did. It was the best thing we ever did. We realized that we can’t change the culture. I’m so tired of struggling in America and never having enough to actually live! I think many poor people would have better opportunities in Europe but people are too afraid.

You got passport expired -> go back to Ukraine, turn yourself to the military service then we will think if issue you the new passport. One passport is a liability, this can happen anywhere.

Anything that strongly promotes human concentration to lessen to 30 seconds is a no-go for me so I personally think blocking TikTok is a good thing. It is bad enuf the US etc having our info, not to add China to the mix. Who will absolutely love this is CZcams with CZcams shorts and I am not a fan of those either. With the sheer stupid competitons ppl had on TikTok and others copied and died from, due to sheer idiocy, is not something i would follow. Altho i am very much into personal freedom, anything that damages our psyche, to me is a no-go zone and Tikok did that.

China didn’t ask Google to be sold to a Chinese company or being banned; China didn’t ask the CEO of Facebook to be grilled by Chinese officials and asked dumb questions; China didn’t shut down business for “ national security “ reasons.
