A Noticeable Suggestion: Could you guys update SOCIAL SHARING elements as well. It should have top (50+) social profiles. Currently there are only 5 which is insufficient, of course. Looking forward to seeing these updates rolling asap. Your guys are awesome. I am loving it. 😍
Hey Betty, just so I'm clear - do you mean Share or Follow? In the case of Share, we can add more such as LinkedIn. But others like SnapChat or Instagram don't make sense, since you cannot share a website to them. If you mean Follow, then that's a link on your website that takes a visitor to the social account. In which case, the Icon element has all social media icons (more than 50) that you can link to your accounts. Global fields make doing this even easier. But we'll look into how we can streamline this. Thanks for the suggestion - Brad
@@Thrivethemes I know we cannot have Snapchat or Instagram but we could possibly have others, right? What I suggested to you guys make it awesome. Right now we cannot completely change colors of these icons or styling. As you guys updated other elements so I hope that you should keep an eye on this as well because on your Theme Builder we work on site level changes, right? So social sharing and social profiles are really important to a blog or podcast. Add more options to customize the feel or look, more social profiles, and social sharing sites. I bet you it would look awesome. Thanks
OMG. This is so helpful. I thought the terms were interchangeable . Hence, I didn’t know why a product like Astra is needed w Elementor. I have seen Thrive Theme and Architect, and didn’t know why I need both. Thanks!
Hi Bishnu, this is another product and it's not a plugin like Elementor Pro. So yes, if you only have Thrive Architect and you're not a Thrive Member, you will be able to purchase the Theme Builder separatly. - Hanne
Disappointing, but Elementor Pro doesn’t build themes, either. Builder is more like Oxygen, which is a different animal altogether. Fiscally, it’s sort of combining Elementor and Astra, which is how most pros use Elementor. Unfortunately, Astra is big big money and makes the costs for using Elementor balloon. At least Thrive is thrifty.
I'd love to know the intro/outro music. I love it. Looking forward to the official (ish) release. As an Alpha Squad member, I've been very impressed...
I think we purchased it from AudioJungle.net or perhaps another royalty free music site. Yes, the cat is out of the bag about Thrive Theme Builder so you can begin sharing your Alpha Squad experiences with people. In fact, it would help us if you did! - Brad
How about Custom Fields for Contact Form element. Please update this asap. So that we can add a Custom Drop Down and a check-boxes as well. Thanks for the update ☺️
Love your eagerness, Abdullah. Every update is carefully planned and takes months of hard work. We improve based on feature request votes + value it brings to our users, so it is more complex than just "update this asap". But you'll be pleased to know that we have dev work scheduled for exactly what you've just asked for. - Brad
So what's the difference between Theme Builder and using one of your pre-filled themes like Minus? And if I use Minus for example, and I load up Theme Builder, do I lose all my Minus settings? Do I have to build from scratch? Do I modify Minus using Theme Builder? Confused.
Hi Marlene, if you choose to switch to Thrive Theme Builder it would be like switching to any other WordPress theme. This means that yes, you will loose specific theme settings and you can not modify Minus theme using Thrive Theme Builder. I'm currently making a step-by-step video course on how to switch from your Thrive Theme to Thrive Theme Builder so you can see exactly what would happen and whether this is worth it for you! - Hanne
Tried to get an overview on Thrive but failed to understand. Looks interesting and sounds like what i am looking for, but... The naming and description of architect, builder or theme bulder is much confusing and the video does not mean anything if you did not use thrive before. I do not get it. There are lot of help, tuts and videos out there, but it looks like the usability design, and the backend concept with addons or plugins on thrive is not smooth at all.
Hi, I'm a new Thrive Themes member and enjoying the products, using your tutorials on a daily basis at the moment. I also very much like the Thrive Themes video tutorial format, mostly with a clean white background (green screen?) and interactive content with highlighted 'circle' inserts to show screen share moments, as well as switching the presenter from full screen to bottom right or elsewhere also in a circle. What screen capture software do you use to create that simple effect while adding some zoom-zoom out variety to the presentation? With COVID-19 I need to bring my courses online and the spare style you deploy at Thrive Themes is professional but not overdone.
will you have a special guide for thrive users who use a thrive theme at the moment? will shifting to theme builder be easy (or made easy)? Thanks, very curious...
Yes, we will have a full tutorial for how to transition your site to Thrive Theme Builder very soon. Stay tuned to our emails and CZcams channel! ~ Colin
Thrive Architect should be called "Thrive Page Architect" not "Thrive Architect" because it is a more specialized tool. It is page template designer for low-instance pages, like one-off pages, landing pages, or registration pages. Thrive Theme Builder has more capabilities at the theme level. Why do I say this? Because "Architect" is a much more global concept than theme, like business architect, site architect, or network architect. Wordpress Themes are applied and contained within a website, and can be applied across a collection of websites. You need the word "Page" used as an adjective to describe and qualify Thrive Architect.
Just to make sure I got it -- would I be able to replace my current theme and instead use Thrive Theme Builder instead of my current theme, right? The theme I am using today is a very skinny one to minimize impact on performance. Any comments on Theme Builders impact on performance, if any?
Yes, that's correct. We are looking to publish an accurate, unbiased speed test soon. We've kept Thrive Theme Builder fast, and our team takes performance seriously. But it won't be as fast as a simple, hand-coded website. - Brad
Very keen to see if Thrive Theme Builder is just another copy of Elementor, Beaver, Divi in terms of Theme building or if there's any innovation or step forward in it.
It's definetly not a copy... The products you're naming all need a theme and then add plugins to change the theme. Thrive theme builder is a THEME BUILDER which is a different approach and different (we believe superior) user experience!
No need to buy Clickfunnels at $100/mo nor LeadPages at $25/mo since Thrive Architect does the same thing (unless you need to do upsell/downsells with Clickfunnels).
My question is in regards to html bloat. I use Elementor and when viewing the source code using Chrome "View Page Source" the page contains huge and numerous blocks of code as compared with a professionally built web page. My homepage takes just over 3 sec to load (size = 1.5 MB), mostly due to the high number of requests (52 requests). I'm wondering if the slow load time can also be attributed to the excessive html bloat. Another consideration is how efficient the page builder is at making changes to the html in the editor. Does the overwrite process increase bloat?
We're going to publish speed tests soon once we prepare an accurate, unbiased, real-world test scenario. You'll find a more detailed answer in the comments at: thrivethemes.com/theme-builders-vs-page-builders/ - Brad
You'll get the full-range color picker, with gradients and opacities for absolutely everything. And it will use Smart Colors, so you can intelligently update a whole website without changing each bit one-by-one. - Brad
Hi Patrick, that's exaclty what the video explains... You will not need one of our legacy themes anymore but you will want to use Thrive Theme Builder and Thrive Architect together on your next site.
No, not in the launch version. At the moment this is not on the roadmap, but we're always listening to our customers' demands and adapting accordingly. - Hanne
