Great reaction. This is the opening track and intro on the album, so of course they used it for the epic opening number for their first live shows in nearly 2 years.
This was at the Makuhari Messe late in January with something like 15-20,000 people on each of the two nights.
The Kami Band were on the east stage, on the west stage where Su started here they had 3 thrones. Running right through the middle of the arena was the walkway with 2 moving stages that the girls spent most of the time on so they could get as close to as many of the crowd as possible.
No expense spared, the production was incredible.
On 1st and 2nd April they played two more concerts at PIA - and at the end of the first they revealed the "New BABYMETAL" with members Su-metal vocal and dance, Moametal scream and dance and Momometal scream and dance.
So it is now official, former Avenger Momoko is now the official third member Momometal.
On the second night they were in their new costumes and Momoko finally has a mic so she can sing too.
Enjoy the show in Oslo, I only have to wait until Saturday for Wembley Arena.🤘🦊🤘

These are Moa and Su's thoughts about "METAL KINGDOM" (from PMC vol.27 credits to funnytoss for the translation):
MOAMETAL: This one feels like a more straightforward metal song, and it’s quite powerful. The lines “You don’t need words of regret or a path of retreat. Live your future in a place full of lights” sync up very well with the choreography, and it makes me like the lyrics even more. BABYMETAL has been the subject of criticism in the past, but we’re made it this far by cherishing the time we spend with the people we love, and this determination can be felt in this song, and it’s an important one for us.
SU-METAL: This song was incomplete before it was performed live. The MV released the other day featured live footage from “BABYMETAL RETURNS - THE OTHER ONE”. I thought to myself, “Oh, I didn’t know it was going to feel like this!” (laughs) I believe this song was made possible through the power of the audience.
MOAMETAL: "'Metal Kingdom' was really cool after we added the choreography to it. We didn’t perform the choreo for it at Makuhari, and I think its coolness is fully unleashed only when we perform it with choreo."
SU-METAL: "We can rehearse all we want, but songs like “Metal Kingdom” that involve the audience are only complete with the voices and enthusiasm of the audience."

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 This video is from Makuhari shows on Jan.28 /29. I witnessed both shows at the venue. You saw one octagonal movable / elevatable stage but actually there were two identical stages for more surprising production. Several drones with camera were flying around all over the venue.
Once this opening song by Su and Moa got started, I had goosebumps all over my body. The show was held after the almost 2-year long hiatus after all. Seriously many of audience were moved to tears and/or dropped their jaws when the gigantic fox wall opened and the thrones came out. Yeah! I chanted all through the song. ♪ Oh oh oh o o o ♪. What a happy experience!! The Kami band was playing on the east stage that was not captured in this video.
After this grave opening, 3 girls performed 12 songs with Momoko Avenger. Did you see 3 (not 2) thrones at 05:26 in your video? Yeah, BM have changed thereafter. Momometal was officially unveiled as the new 3rd girl in Yokohama shows on April 1/2. Yes, at last ✌ I luckily witnessed the shows in April. What an epic moment in my personal history as I could see the new BM begin 😍
Hello, Just picked up tickets for Dallas, Las Vegas and LA. Interesting venues, but not like anything in Japan.

These epic shows are amazing but the smaller shows are a bit more personal, they talk to the crowd a little more, but there is nothing like Japan, I hope to go sometime

Wow, I didn’t expect you to be that moved by the song. From what I have seen, it doesn’t get as much love as other songs like Monochrome. So it’s cool to see that it has such an effect on some people. It‘s certainly a great show opener.

According to a recent magazine interview, there is a dance version of this song, which may open this tour with SABATON. It has not yet been performed in Japan.

Yep, BM has definitely changed for me as well. And in a way that I personally like a lot. The album is indeed an adventure journey through different worlds. I'm very curious to see where the journey of them still goes, now that they are officially three again.

The only thing I'm concerned about, is that already a few venues said that BM allotted time is around 30/40 minutes during the Sabaton tour... I really hope they reach 1 hour!
Well 30/40 minutes is better then 0, but I would much more prefer 1-2 hours 😁🤩

I had the same feelings when I saw this performance for the first time.
This was the opening song for both nights of their sold out 2 night back to back concerts in Tokyo recently. This is from the 2nd night.
I hope that you get the the chance to react to the LIVE Pro Shot video of Monochrome (also from the 2nd night). During a break in the song Suzuka asks the audience to “Take out your phone!” And “Turn on your light!” She then says “That’s amazing!” “Looks like stars!” She then begins to hum the lyrics with 20,000 lights surrounding the stage. Breathtaking.
On April 1 at their sold out concert In Yokohama it was announced that Momoko Okazaki is officially the third member of BabyMetal and finally received her headset mic. Now with both Moa and Momoko together the backing vocals will be more powerful.

Also I don’t know if you are familiar with the CZcams channel “The First Take” where famous artists are invited to perform a song of theirs in ONLY ONE TAKE. BabyMetal performed a piano version of Monochrome and n my opinion (and everyone else’s it appears) Suzuka and Moa killed it.
