  • It's a story unique to Texas. New York Times best selling author Sam Gwynne talked about his book Empire of the Summer Moon with fellow author Stephen Harrigan. Gwynne detailed the fascinating story of the rise and fall of the Comanche Indian nation and the story of pioneer woman Cynthia Anne Parker and her son, Quanah, who was the greatest and final Chief of the Comanches.

Same, unbelievable history, I live in the Texas plains region and our history classes never mentioned Comanches and how our area of Texas was ground zero for all the amazing things that happened regarding the Comanches

One worries about the American public when reading these comments. Half on them don't even make sense, some are just gibberish and a fair number seem to be launching their personal prejudices and talking to themselves. It's a relief to find a few - VERY few - written by people who can actually construct a sentence in English.
