- This video contains a description regarding how to build a habit of reading English books. The following four major obstacles that restrain us from reading English were explained in the beginning:
1. You think English is hard.
2. You don't know why you are reading this book.
3. You keep looking for the meaning of every single word.
4. You are not consistent.
Possible solutions are as follows:
1. Stop thinking, start reading.
2. Choose a book that is small, easy, and interesting.
3. Don't use a dictionary unless it’s necessary.
4. Be consistent, read every day.
5. Don't go hard on yourself, it's not your language.
6. Take your time, read with love
(It's not a race.)
7. Don't force yourself if you don't like the book.

Problem regarding reading books:
i) We think English is a difficult language
ii)Looking up words in the dictionary is tedious
iii) We don't realise why we should read the book
iv) We are not consistent
Solution :
i) Don't judge the book before starting
ii) Realise why you need to read it
iii) Start with shorter books
iv) Don't use a dictionary unless it's necessary
v) Be consistent
vi) Don't go hard on yourself
vii) take time, read with love
vii) Don't read the book if you really don't like it.

আমার মনে হয় আপনি ইংরেজি শিখার সবচেয়ে সেরা পরামর্শগুলো দিয়েছেন আমার ক্ষেত্রে যে সমস্যাগুলো হয় আপনি সেই গুলো সঠিকভাবে ধরেছেন।
আমার বই পড়ার অভ্যাস আমি হারিয়েই ফেলেছিলাম। আপনার ভিডিও দেখে আবার নতুন করে বই পড়ার সেই চাহিদাটা ফিরে পেয়েছি। অনেক অনেক ধন্যবাদ আপনাকে, আপু💓। এখন সমস্যা হলো বই গুলা কিনতেও পারতেছিনা, বইয়ের যে দাম 😞। আর পিন্টের বই গুলাও ভালো হয় না। 😭😭
আপনি কিন্তু চাইলে পিডিএফ পড়তে পারেন। সেক্ষেত্রে প্রথম কয়েকদিন একটু বেখাপ্পা লাগলেও কিছুদিন পর দেখবেন স্বাভাবিক লাগছে। আপনার ক্ষেত্রে কিন্তু এটি খুবই কার্যকর একটি পদ্ধতি হতে পারে, যেমনটি আমার ক্ষেত্রে হয়েছিলো!!
সব বইয়ের পিডিএফ তো পাওয়া যায় নাহ।

"I've got to complete reading a thousand books at least"- this type of notion has stuck in my mind ever since I've started reading English books. One thing I can't avoid is noting down new words from every page and finding their meanings. Since I want to be an author in English, it's something I can't overlook learning new words. Also, my aim behind reading any English book is to figure out how a writer has illustrated a scenario through his/her writing style, so I can copy and adhere to that writing style myself. However, your video on this topic was simple, yet effective, hence, commendable. Thanks a bunch!

বাঙালি অনেককিছুই হারিয়ে আসছে। ভাষাটা হারালেও সমস্যার কোনো কারণ নেই।
ইংরেজি হইলো গিয়া মাগার ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ল্যাঙ্গুয়েজ। ইংলিশ কইতে পারলে একটা ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ভাব আইয়া পরে। ভালাই তো ক্ষতি নাই।

@@mdanique86 অবশ্যই ইংরেজি শিক্ষার প্রয়োজনীয়তা রয়েছে। কিন্তু বাংলাকে ভুলে গিয়ে নয়। এখনকার অনেক ছেলে মেয়েই ঠিকমতো বাংলা বলতে পারে না, বিশেষ করে ইংরেজি মিডিয়ামের শিক্ষার্থীরা।
আর বর্তমানে বাংলাটাও আর বাংলা নেই, বাংলার সাথে ইংরেজি মিশে জগাখিচুড়ি অবস্থা

আর ইংলিশ লেকচার শুনবেন। যারা Productivity এই ব্যাপার ভালো লাগে তারা Ali Abdaal এর চ্যানেল ফলো করতে পারেন। আর যারা ধর্মীয় লেকচার শুনতে চান তারা Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan কে ফলো করতে পারেন, অনেক কিছু জানবেন আর ইংলিশ ও ইম্প্রুভ হবেন। আর যাদের খেলায় আগ্রহ তারা ইংলিশ ইন্টারভিউ দেখবেন ক্রিকেটারদের। শুধু মুভি দেখে ইংলিশ শিখতে যাবেন না। কাজের কাজ কিছুই হবেনা।

I always tried hard to read as much book as I can so that I don't miss anything. Then I realized that I don't remember or use any of these knowledge. So, I decided to read as GOOD as I can. I won't run for the number rather the reading quality. Thanks for your amazing video. Specially the sentence "কতগুলো বই শেষ করেছি এটার থেকে কতটুকু নিতে পেরেছি বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ", I loved it.

আপু, আরেকটা ব্যাপার আমার মাথায় আসলো, সেটা হলো, যে বইটা ইংরেজীতে পড়বো, সেটার বাংলা ভার্ষনটা যদি আগে পড়ে নেয়া যায়, তবে গল্প/বিবরন যা থাকবে তার অনুবাদ যেহেতু আগে থেকেই জানি, তাই পড়ার সময় ব্রেইন বিরক্ত হবে না। সেই সাথে অনেক শব্দের সম্ভাব্য উত্তর ব্রেইন নিজ থেকেই বের করে নিবে। আপনার জন্য অনেক শুভ কামনা।
