This is almost like a chocolate, skinny, and long panna cotta with agar instead of gelatin. This was so fun to watch. Thank you Tyler for your considerable efforts. It was very cathartic to watch live!
3:16 in the Malay language, there's what's called doubling words. Two words hyphenated to form a new meaning, which could or could not be related to the singular. In this case, it's not related to the singular. The singular 'agar' just means 'so that'. Agar-agar is seaweed jelly :)

Omg this is my favorite stream so far. I'm really looking forward to "making a tropical fruit smoothie into noodles" or "opposite spaghetti" (this is where you turn tomato sauce into noodles and make a sauce out of noodles)...actually, just turn everything into a noodle. Deconstruct all food into noodles. I look forward to your new career as noodle makers.

chocolate flavoured agar-agar puddings are a thing in Malaysia and surrounding countries maybe, but of course they'd be much sweeter than what you made? the texture will vary, some soft like crème brulee (served in a dish) and some hard like jelly (you can bite into it, it'll keep it's shape) - it will be cooled in a mould then cut into squares for bite size pieces.
and corn flavoured agar-agar is popular too here! so erm corn & nutella agar-agar might be very possible?!

You’re so right Syahiirun. At first I didn’t realize it but when the small pieces started to break off it dawned on me that those look like ‘cincau’ 🤣🤣🤣 in English it’s called grass jelly and you can form then into several shapes. Cubes or long noods, your pick. So it was fun watching Safiya and Tyler recreate something that resembles a dessert popular here in Malaysia 😄😄
... I wonder if you can get a mould for paint-ball gun bullets... :D
I loved this!!!! 😂🤎 Tyler was so focused & Saf was somewhere. Then at the end, the “refueling” focus that Tyler had was the best reward. 😂😂

You are young Saf! I'm about to turn 40 next month. I literally remember turning 30 and it feels like it was just a couple of years ago. I feel like I'm getting old. But my mother is 71. I would feel silly telling her I feel old. And my grandmother is 94! My mother would feel silly telling my grandmother that she feels old. Lol It's all about perspective. Love and cherish every year all the same. We just lost my niece and nephew's father 2 Fridays ago. He was only 54. He found out the last week of Dec he had stage 4 liver cancer. Then about a week later found out it had spread to the kidneys, lungs, brain and many more places. He passed away 2 Fridays ago. It happened so quickly. We are never promised another year, another day or even another breath! So live today like it's your last. (I'm talking to myself also here. All this has made me really see life with new fresh eyes.) Don't focus on age or anything else that in the long run really doesn't matter. Focus on loving and living well.

As a chef who likes to play with gastronomy you can absolutely just do the noodles straight from the syringe into the ice water you don't even need the tubing

That was an awful lot of work to eat chocolate jello in a noodle form. But I have to say most of all, I’m really glad you didn’t put Miracle Whip on them.
To fix the scale problem: just press down slightly on the scale a little until it measures something, let it go, and then let it measure your ingredients 😄

Not gonna lie, though, what made this video as insanely entertaining as it is, was the combination of that with their insane chemistry. So I'd say Saf's mad laughter and supportive midwifery contributed greatly, actually 😂

The title is no method only madness but can we just take a moment to appreciate how much time and work they put into the method to make that madness happen?
I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. This was brilliant. Additionally, rather than psychosomatic or synesthesia, I believe the psychological phenomenon Tyler was describing is expectancies. You expect the taste of pasta based on the look and your perception and behavior is altered to match that expectation. It's kind of like the common saying of "self fulfilling prophecy". We have expectancies about a lot of different stimuli, but it's really big in the alcohol and substance use literature. Gotta love how powerful our brains are!
