Okay…. I know this is going to be weird, but I got really excited recognizing you driving on Main Street in Oakley in your intro. I grew up there, but haven’t been there in about 15 years.
How the *beep* do I always miss y'all at the Porthole? I was there Fri, Sat & Sun, also was at day 4 until about 4:00. I see the people's champ almost every time he goes, but never Greg and crew. 😢
this channel truly captures friendships and collaborations like no other channel on youtube I admire and respect every single one of you. God bless you all and gives you health and luck.
My view is you all win when Santa Beer shows up! I had Hazy Little Thing IPA for the first time at our church picnic last month. It is a fantastic summer beer. Definitely one of my favorites now.
DAng... Olie ... needs to see the Dentist LoL LoL WTG GB Luv A great Spinnerbait Bite !! If I had only 1 lure to use at the Delta.. I'd be throwing a SPINNERBAIT 👊
Greg, you should throw a thick weed guard swim jig with the same trailer on your spinner bait. You’d be amazing what bass you can catch in that deeper grass. In MI this time of year that’s the only way to catch up on hot days. In a River or lakes. Give her a shot
Man, I never noticed in your videos until I got my native, but man, literally the only thing I would change about my boat is how creaky the seat is, lol. Literally, everything else is perfect!
Likewise, the only issue I have with my Native ! The only repair I've seen is to remove the fabric, wrap the pipes with electrical tape and put the thing back together. Haven't tried it yet, not certain it works but I'm seriously considering it. Love the Native.
@andrewgilmore9054 that's not a bad idea if you're patient. I love my native too. I'll never buy a different kayak just newer models of my slayer max 12.5
You are the reason I will be getting a native kayak. I wanna do a build alot like you have. I have a ascend 12 and I'm not a huge fan of it. I absolutely love the idea of a peddle drive. I use to be huge into fishing as a kid and ii just haven't fished alot over the past few years. This summer, you got me hyped back into fishing and I've been out a few times. Awesome content that I really enjoy just sitting back after work and watching 💯
Everyone besides Santa could place in the top 10! You did pretty well fishing my spot,, Greg! 😂. Lots of people fish around there plus a lot of pleasure boats on weekends! Cant wait for the next episode! Thank You!
Greg, look at your tournaments this season, and last. You'll see how you've adjusted, with a lot of patience, and much more. You've always been great, but your knowledge is really showing now bro. G.L. 🌊 🎣 🛶
Launch at Wimpys, go north in Snodgrass Slough to the double east/west straightaways. Run the south canal, but the north bank grass line, with a whopper plopper. Then fish the area of Snodgrass Slough (some people call it Lost Slough 🤷🏻♂️) that you get to by going through ‘the jungle’ from Consumnes River Preserve. Giants in there right now!
TETHERING PHONE CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE!! I never tethered my phone before this season, or maybe a couple times I tethered it to inside of hobie storage panel in front of seat, but usually I just threw it in there and left it getting it out as I needed it. It was another kayaker that got into some trouble that got me to start tethering it to my person. now i clip the tether to my belt loop and keep it in my pocket. It was the bassmaster guntersville event earlier this year that made me start doing it. The friday before the event a guy got caught in a massive storm on the water on then went up under a little creek bridge for shelter. Well a flash flood came down the creek and flipped him and he could not get his boat flipped back because it was like a washing machine effect under there. Luckily he had his phone tethered to his life jacket and was able to call water rescue and they came and got him. Seeing that video of him clinging to his upside down boat while it spun around in circles caught between the creek current coming out and the massive waves and wind blowing in from the lake... thats what made me start doing it. I suggest everyone tether their phones to themselves cuz you never know when it might save your life. Another benefit to doing it this way is that it is much quicker and easier to get the phone out fast. Twice this season alone I have submitted fish at 2:30 on the dot that helped me when tourney ended at 2:30. Before It would take me a minute or two just to get phone out and camera or app pulled up.
Great job Greg! Looking forward to see how this shapes out. I've been struggling until I changed my approach and habits. Who knew white would kill in stained water.
So Greg thanks for a shout out to rogue gear and their phone protector tether. I actually bought my first kayak 2 years ago from the owner of rogue fishing gear. Mark!
Greg, I pretty much use the same net set up as you with the paddle holder to keep it in place and everything. I put a piece of electrical tape at the 12 inch mark from the end of the handle to easily tell if a fish is a keeper or not.
@GregBlanchardFishing Thank you for making great, family friendly content. We recently moved and your videos have helped me and my son (7 yr old) get into fishing. It has been a great way for us to bond and we watch all your videos together. I have even gotten my wife into watching them because of all the beautiful scenery you show. As beginners, we would be grateful if you would do a video on your tackle prep. Specifically, how you choose your rods, reels, baits, colors, etc. based on the weather, water color, water level, and anything else you consider. We would also really appreciate if you could show what knots you use and how to tie them. Thanks in advance!
Mr. Greg . . . A really GOOD Day 1 for you, Mr. Bam, Mr. Dutch, Mr. Mike, and Mr. Alden (lovin' his INVISALIGN smile 😁) and hopin' your crew does well on Day 2; really hopin' Mr. Terence can make up some ground. What happened to Mr. O? Always love to see when your crew can get together; the comraderie and playin' around always provides a good chuckle 😂. Looking forward to your Day 2 video🤙!
Thank you! We miss O for sure and glad he came to the pod. He actually fished a boat tournament on the delta the weekend before and per the YAB rules was in the off limits time frame for being out there on a boat. Hopin' he can make and fish the next derb tho at Melones!
Always look forward to your tournament vids Greg! Just a thought, but could you add one of those tape measure stickers to the inside of your kayak for a quick reference on the questionable keepers? Might save you some time and eliminate uncertainty. Looking forward to part 2!
Great fishing, Greg! I said earlier this year that you were going to have a great year. I have a feeling you’re going to win AOY 👍 Congrats on the placement
Yes sir. I think you made some great decisions so far. Love the pitch on the phone tether😮😂. That was also a good catch. Keep it up buddy. Thank you for the hard work you do on the videos.
At 41: 53 Mikes San Quenten Quail Call sounded tampered with. I bet Gregs farts have no more Oder than a warm biscuit and calls small songbirds near as well as Snow Whites whistling in an old Disney movie. just saying... Great job Greg, FIRST PLACE!
Ive been patiently waiting for this video. I need the videos to come out no later then 3 days apart. Js. Appreciate the video Greg. Id love to come down to the Delta from WA state. Keep up the good work. You got my vote to win it.
Thanks man! I'd do it but check the reports if you're able to. It's been really off this year meaning lack of big fish. Not sure whats up but you can come catch a bunch of small ones right now
You stay launching over in Byron I think ima go out there this weekend been a few months since I’ve been on the water. I think your channel got recommended to me to remind me how much I love fosgjng
Pristine conditions just all the dinks came out to play. At least your catching them tho. I’ve been stationed overseas for five years haven’t had the time to fish, but heading back this weekend and the only thing I can think about is fishing.
Greg I think you need a heavy power rod to help with those spinnerbait hook penetration. A lot of your spinnerbait hook ups are coming off on your landing. I used to have that exact problem too.
Just a thought… do you have a spot in your kayak to place a tape measure sticker? Save you from pulling out your board every time on the ones that your unsure of. Or cut a small 12 inch piece of PVC and hold it up to ‘em.
“There I was 15 mins to go & I threw out a straw wrapper”…😂😂😂😂
freakin mike😂
That cracked me up...
Mike needs his own reality show. "Mike Ensign Unedited" 🤘😎🍻
@@carolinabasshole7064it would most certainly have to be edited 😂
Straw Wrapper Popper
I have easily watched your channel for 3-5 years, and it’s rare that you don’t figure something out.
Good way to start the friday ........
😂 feel like i seen this script before..."yeah i found a couple good ones right at the end" ..this is your year🏆
Okay…. I know this is going to be weird, but I got really excited recognizing you driving on Main Street in Oakley in your intro. I grew up there, but haven’t been there in about 15 years.
Ripping gas 😂 omg " I'm leaving it in" 😅🤣 stop it, I'm dying😂. Nice showing! LFG!!
Gonna be a good friday with this morning post

Oh man ❤ you manned up to your word on the non edit on the fart. Lmao
I bought the Rogue phone tether after you talked about it in a video quite a while back and yes it’s saved my phone multiple times! Great video!
First off the red TW shirt is ⛽️
Hilarious that the guys all knew what you were going to say lol
Should've through the Senko Greg. We all know what a senko god tier bait can do. lol. 💯
You know you're a big fan when you get nervous while Greg is explaining the pre-tournament AOY repercussions... @1:40
Im nervous!

I like that, gotta put in the time and learn that!
AWESOME JOB GREG ,YOU KILLED IT. Can't wait for day 2 you are truly a great bass fisherman. Good Luck Bro
thank you sir

Great series!

Good thing there wasn’t a “ fish landing violation , 2 minute penalty “ during this one Greg.
Thank you for leaving the fart in
TRAILER HOOK, TRAILER HOOK, and I’ll say it again TRAILER HOOK
Just try it one day see the difference it makes
Spinnerbait dinkfest, shouldve tried swimjig with the calm conditions
Another great video with the crew and nice work Greg!
Well done man, good fishing keep it up!
Greg, all those boat flips with the fish flying off the hook made me pretty nervous.
me too lol
Not that you have issues catching but man I can't believe you don't swim jiggggg there! Especially how un-spinnerbait like the conditions were..
Couldn’t buy a hook set in the first few hours!
