Ummm... pretty sure Darth Maul had that menacing and dread factor without even speaking...

I personally never felt that no. I'm glad you did. I thought he had really cool make up and character design but I never felt "uncomfortable" when he was on screen. The lack of speaking was Mauls downfall to me in regards to making him give me that sense of dread. I'm glad you felt it though.

@APlusHeroReport come on man... even Darth Vader had those qualities... kinda hard to believe with 40+ years of Star Wars content and this was the 1st sith you felt menace and dred? And then Sol... a jedi master is the bad guy???? Wow... 😂😂😂

@@shaunmiller-gruntcomics562 I will give you that, Darth Vader is the only other sith I have felt that way about. What's so funny about Sol playing a bigger role? It was a theory back in episode 2, theories change over time but clearly there is more to Sol's story then meets the eye considering he very much opens himself up to emotions and attachments. So either you aren't watching properly or just trying to find a way to be rude. I've seen that theory a lot anyway, I ain't the first. Not saying it will happen but let's not act like it's not a logical conclusion some can theorize.

@APlusHeroReport that Sol is bad? Kenobi had emotional attachments, and he never faltered towards the dark... all I see is a hodge podge plot formed from aspects of all 3 trilogies smashed together with bad writing... Sol = Kenobi, twins = Luke (Luke on several occasions flirted with the dark side), Leia, sith = Ben Solo. It isn't so much being rude as it is frustration with most of Disney Star Wars and the younger viewers blindly supporting it with anyone being overly critical being called bigots, racists, and any other number of insults you see the far left fascists spitting out regardless of reasoning just to silence voices. Not making a claim that you fit that category btw. Imho anything Disney Star Wars live action is garbage with the exception of Rogue One, Mando season 1,2, and Andor.

@@shaunmiller-gruntcomics562 Sorry you feel that way. When I see Sol, I don't see Obi-Wan at all. He reminds me of Qui-Gon in the sense of how he holds himself but the emotional struggle is very much his own challenges. Jedi aren't perfect, and just because Obi-Wan never faltered, doesn't mean past Jedi haven't either.
"Far left fascists?" I mean...i can see where your head is at, but I don't bring any of that into my viewing of the show. I sit back for the story and don't read to much into "whats the agenda". thats not how i view or watch tv or shows. I'm not gonna sit here and say anyone that disagrees with what star wars is...is anyone of those things, but for some people the shoe fits trust me. I don't like categorizing everyone because there are some who have legit grips and plenty i have seen that are racists and bigots. If the show fits and those people know who they are.
Characters can have faults, Lucas established that in his movies. Failure for masters is a very real thing. This is also taking place 100 years before anything George created so if anything I see it as building upon what he built. Twins have always had an important role in Star Wars. If you enjoyed the EU, Jaina and Jacen Solo (Ben Solo was inspired i'm sure by Jacen, minus the twin), but it's been established in past lore that twins are important, so I have no problem with someone liek Leslye Headland who was a big EU fan mining other concepts and bringing them to life. If i've learn anything in my 41 years it's that history tends to repeat itself, the idea of using twins doesn't feel like a retread to me when the story of Luke/Leia and Mae/Osha are two completely different stories.
But hey if you don't like some of what Disney created thats cool, but your exception list is a pretty balanced one with some of the other stuff Disney has created. thats almost like half.
