- This is a 2-hour and 45-minute relaxation video that will transport you back in time to mid-century Americana. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a journey through a selection of science fiction, horror, and B-movie trailers from the 1950s-1970s, accompanied by countdown timers, and drive-in intermission ads for classic snack bar treats like popcorn, hot dogs, candy, and soda. These drive-in promos span the decades in style
Experience the nostalgic atmosphere of the drive-in theater and let the stresses of modern life fade away. This should be enjoyable to anyone with a passion for vintage movies, retro culture, and mid-century Americana.
So turn down the lights, grab some classic concession stand treats, and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of a bygone era. You'll feel like you're right there at the drive-in theater, watching classic sci-fi and horror movies and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
I used Blender to create and render the scene. I used After Effects for the animation effects, such as the dynamic screen reflections on cars, and the passage of clouds. The video clips and movie trailers all came from archive.org
I would love to increase the audience of my videos, so here's the obligatory request that you SUBSCRIBE! Yaaaay!

GREAT MEMORIES!! THOSE WERE THE DAYS!! I CAN STILL SMELL THE SNACK BAR😀😀
I grew up in L A.. drive in theater was part of our life....in the 1960s and 1970s it greatest time to be alive in California 😮
Don't let the Drive-Inns Die! Drive-Inns were created in the United States and are part our of history. If you have a drive-in close to you go on and visit it, go as a big group if possible, and don't forget to hit the snack bar, this helps keep the owners in business. Going to watch a movie like this is not just about seeing a movie it's about the whole experience. I have been going to the drive inn movies for 50 years and it is a great way to have fun with the whole family. If I could own and operate one I would not hesitate to do so. Have fun at the drive- in yall!!
You could put in a couple of full-length public domain movies for the complete drive-in double feature experience; I'd totally watch it!
This is too cool.
Please make more like this! I leave this running on my TV all the time!
I have 2 DVD's with Intermission ads on them. Plus, during the Summer, i watch these CZcams videos all the time. I even put them on in my Chevy and have the sound of it going through my speakers.
Like to see an entire film shown like this.
This. This is it.
I like your set up and ambiance . I'm in the mood for BAD pizza and a BAD egg roll right now.
I love me some bad drive-in concession snacks!

Ok, this is SLICK! I've been watching a lot of Drive-In videos lately but this takes the cake!
I actually Screen Share my phone to my Canon Rayo Pico Projector and point it at the wall to boost the effect. Ironically the Vali-Hi Drive in the Twin Cities in Minnesota (the last Drive-In I went to) has a Digital Cinema Projector With Texas Instruments DLP chips in it...and my Canon Rayo Projector does too, although simpler.
Hey thanks! That's so cool! Last Halloween, I projected one of my horror mix videos on the front of our house while we gave out candy. It was a fun vibe.
This is so cool!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy it!

Great, but why the tiny image? We get the drive in simulation thing you're going for, but after a few seconds I just want to see the full sized image.
The setting is the reason for the video. You can find most of the raw intermission content elsewhere on CZcams or Archive.org if you want to see that by itself. My ambience videos are to create a sense of immersion.
On the video page 3:11 what is that curvy thing?
I love this!!! Long live the drive in experience. 🤩🤩🤩🥹🥹🥹🥹
