Awesome that she followed through and actually became a firefighter....a very hard and dangerous job. Hats off to all our brave firefighters! Just love that they got meet again.
Just read the story, thank you and all of NY BRAVEST for serving and protecting us. I live in Manhattan (Harlem) and I can speak of the BRAVERY because I have seen it many times. Touching story. Blessings to all.
What a beautiful story! To make a decision at that young age to become a firefighter and never waver from her decision is amazing! I know exactly how she felt when she reunited with the firefighter who saved her life. I was born with a digestive deformity that prevented me from getting the milk to stay in my stomach long enough to be digested and I was starving to death in my first weeks of life. Two doctors gave my parents different formulas to feed me and neither of them made any difference. My father begged one of his medical school professors to see me and he agreed to see me that same day. He did surgery the next morning and fixed the defect. 45 years later I saw his name on a poster for an upcoming conference at the University where I was working, so I went to his presentation and went up to him afterwards and told him the story. It was so wonderful to get a chance to meet him and thank him.
Anna Tran You are absolutely right! My son is a firefighter & it is amazing how much they do & are responsible for. Unfortunately were we live, our local fire department is a Volunteer department, & i'll nvr understand why these heroes don't get paid....they do it out of love because every single firefighter is an Angel on Earth
that's incredible that they are willing to risk their lives like that without getting anything in return. They deserve the best in life! Thank you for having such an amazing son :)
@@ajt51773 I live in the netherlands and many firefighters here also also volunteers. This is because there are more people that want to be a firefighter then there are positions available. So they come in as volunteer and when there is room they become a payed firefigher. it can take many years also sadly.
Thanks Sherry ! You're right you know. Our crew saved one life, but lost many. We were known as the "Black Cloud Crew". it's tough, but we get on the truck, and we do what we do...again, thx
This is so beatiful. I salute people who risk their life every day for us. When I feel Im being too demanding from life I watch how those firefighters climbed those stairs in 9.11 knowing they most likely won 't make it. Risk your life for another human being. I hope there is really something better out there and those people have what they've deserved.
she is great im a firefighter in vermont and i joined cause i wanted to serve the people who i live with. and i am grateful that this young girl is and will be part of the firefighter family
Ohhh woopty de doo. He took someone out of a house something the rest of the people on the planet would do but oh know now he is a hero. What a embarrassing scenario.
She truely honoured her rescuer by doing something worthwhile with her life and career
"Earn This". I had that moment in my life. I'm coming up on ten years civilian FF/Paramedic.
