That's why Daddy Matthew jealous a** kicked both her & Latoya out the group cause everyone kept mentioning how they both were the prettiest & the best sounding in the group. Noone was really checking for the other two. Ppl assumed they were only in the group cause they were related to Matthew who was their manager, which happen to be true. That did not sit well with him at all esp. when he was steady tryna push his daughter to front stage stardom. Yet their beauty still overshadow all his lame effort to put the spotlight on his daughter primarily. He was like they got to gooo haha. I predicted even back then that he was gonna kick them out for looking & sounding better than his basic looking & sounding daughter. Karma got his a** back tho lololololol
Homemade Ginger Colada Right on point...... The world would have never got under the Beyonce spell if the original Destiny's Child stayed together. I think that this experience may have made her look at the industry diffrent. Being a former performer- musician myself , i can say that talent alone wont bring you success. A lot of times its a lot of back door shaddiness that dictates who and what is seen and ultimately becomes the trends in pop culture.
She is so cool and so humble...she does not seem bitter about anything. That is so great!
***** Yes....she was the original member of Destiny's Child when they first came out. She was one of the 2 original members that first left the group before they were replaced with Michelle Farrah.
Way better....this was when Destiny's Child was about all 4 members even though Beyonce was singing lead parts. They all had a hand in writing songs and creating the music. Then Beyonce basically took over writing more songs and the rest of them just sat back....it was no longer a group...it became Beyonce and Destiny's Child and now just Beyonce.

One of the saddest things about the music business is that it's extremely vicious and everyone has their ways to get to the top. In many cases there are "stepping stones". I love Beyoncé and her music, but it's obviously clear that the group was a planned and orchestrated stepping stone for her successful solo career. Beyoncé was always the lead singer and lead speaker in interviews. The other girls were tanned in tanning booths to be made darker, so that the lead singers light complexion would have both black and crossover appeal... Even the lead singer had the best and sexiest designed costumed made by her mother. There's no hate here, but the groups members were pawns to catapult Beyoncé. Kelly was the most loyal and a well-paid pawn, so she and Michelle were fine with this. Once Latvia and letoya went to management to express their feelings of unfairness (Matthew was pulling a "pebbles" on them) that's when they were removed. Beyoncé is extremely talented, but truth is truth.

LaTavia had the deepest voice in the group. I believe she's an alto. As such, she sang the lower harmony parts. Listen to the intro on "Say My Name". The girl with the deeper voice is LaTavia. But she also sings the first verse on "Sweet Sixteen".

Not really, Beyonce was famous as it is with DC because everyone saw who was the star back then. When she went solo, that same fanbase followed her and Beyonce and Kelly's first albums were successful in their own way. But Beyonce had good producers and writers on her albums compared to Kelly's to have consecutive success.

I saw an interview where Matthew was explaining that they held auditions to form a group around Beyonce (who was already singing in talent shows and stuff) i guess she didn't want to do it alone. Beyonce was always the lead singer, Kelly also sang some leads and I remember hearing LaTavia here and there but really they were and always were backup and harmonies. Thats why I always laugh when people cuss about B always singing lead like it was special treatment. As if people had a problem with Michael Jackson leading the Jackson 5 or Frankie Valli leading the 4 Seasons lol

Latavia was stunning and so humble. Kelly was and Letoya were sweet and Beyoncé unfortunately was a little rude, but it didn't bother me, I was just happy to meet them.
