Thank you!! I've used so many different amps and guitars over the years... this will likely me my live set up for The Discussion... possibly paired w a Roland Jazz Chorus 120 when in a larger room... this guitar would not really work for Kylesa, for example, but works really well for The Discussion. The Bassman, however, worked well for Kylesa as I used it on the last couple of US tours --- they take pedals very well!

Hi Laura do you still have any of your Les Pauls? If so are you going to use them.on your new project? Honestly nothing was more badass then you slingin that goldtop in Kylesa

Little late to the party, but what a great insight into your methods! I would not have guessed Jazzmaster into Bassman for the baseline tone ( it sounded to me like P90 into some really great late 70's solid state , like a JC 120 or an HH IC100L VS Musician because of the kind of "crowded headroom" tone) but that shows what I know. No real questions, but I hope you do more of these because I have really admired the tones you get, for years and years. Literally inspirational for me- as in, I have drawn a lot of inspiration in seeking out my own sounds by using your tones as a benchmark.

That was a great first video. I'm surprised to see that you didn't keep the Life Pedal in either your studio or live board set up.

Thank you! I went back and forth and back and forth with it!!! Bottom line is it is quite big and doesn't really FIT on my board -- my Channel Switcher takes up a lot of space... the compromise is real!! I might put it back on the board, however. I really, really like that pedal.

What did you do to make the dots on the fretboard look so dark and faded? I love how it looks! The white/pearl always is a little too loud for my tastes.

They came like that --- bc it's a 60th Anniversary Reissue, the inlays are made of clay --- like they were in 1958😊

Are you playing in standard for the most part on these new releases or are you incorporating any other tunings like DADGAD?

The Discussion stuff is primarily in Standard ... some in Drop D

Great video, love the rundown and the song is amazing. I definitely need to get myself a Jazzmaster too).
Question: which of your amps is your favourite clean pedal platform? Thanks.

Thank you! I'd say this Fender Bassman here or my Roland Jazz Chorus 120 (the latter is GREAT for clean but can get a little fizzy with a lot of dirt or fuzz...it can be done but it takes some elbow grease dialing it in)
