36:40 "Nice little bridge..." Immediately cleared the clog under it. Wow. Post's reflexes for finding clogs is so fast. Also I miss hiking. This brought back memories of one of the hardest hikes I did, so many rocks along the trail but was worth it.
Just got an image of Post 10 in his wellingtons, t shirt and jeans breezing past a fully clad rock climber, sweating, shaking and clinging to the 50 deg rock face. “Hey everyone, here we are near the summit” 🤣
That first trail, no way! You have stamina Post. Beautiful scenic area. Glad you were dressed more for the elements this time. Was hoping when you got to the top the fog would have disappeared. Nice adventure, thanks! ⛰️🚂🛤️
It’s not so hard to do, it depends a lot of the quality of the rubber boots. I use them when berry picking and usually walking distances are many kilometers during it when changing from spot to another. Post10 has good quality rubber boots.
Post I have climbed this many times. The “lower level” is where those three metal doors were - there is a cafeteria, facilities, some sitting area and a small museum/gift store below. You didn’t miss out on much, but it is pretty cool that all that stuff is up on top of the mountain like that. I Love how empty it was up there. Thanks for taking us on all these adventures.
Yes I know I've been inside years ago but I was trying to figure out how to get inside as there was a sign saying hiker shelter lower-level but none of the doors worked
I hadn't planned on watching this entire video but the content and narration were so engaging that I just had to see it through to the end! It was extremely enjoyable and informative. As a bonus, now I know of a safe place to hunker down if there's ever a zombie apocalypse! 😄
Fascinating stuff man. I could almost imagine you were on a Scottish mountain. I worked the railways here in England for 25 years and those rails on the cog railway or "rack and pinion" as we call them here, are flat bottom rails fixed to the wooden stretchers or sleepers with "padrol" clips. Great video and a real adventure on the mountain trail😉👍👍👍
"At some point in the early 1800s Arthur Wellesley, then Viscount Wellington, asked his shoemaker, Mr George Hoby of St James's Street, London, to make a boot which was easier to wear with the new trousers. Hoby removed the tassel and cut the boots lower to make them more comfortable for riding. Even before his great victory over Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, Wellington was on his way to becoming a fashion icon. By 1813, and the victory at the Battle of Vittoria, Wellington’s fame led others to start wearing this new style of boot. They duly became known as ‘Wellingtons’."
I was just about to mention the fastest wind recorded on Earth on the mountain but you did it for me, thanks mate. I remember Richard Hammond (most famous to you guys for Top Gear and The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime) did a documentary series about wild weather back in 2014 and visited the mountain in the middle of winter. He had to WRAP UP, everything covered up, and he went outside onto that summit when it was sporting 65mph winds and -50 degrees F!
From the comfort of my bed in the UK I thoroughly enjoyed this hike with you. I too was surprised you did the whole hike in wellie boots. Well done. My hikes have to end at a pub or a tea shop😉
Watching from Queensland, Australia on a wet miserable Winter’s Day,and this video has made my day! Beautiful scenery and a great effort from you. Thanks mate, you’re a true legend. ✌🏻👌🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺
This is amazing! I have a neurological sleep disorder so I need lots of sleep. Thank you so much for filming this, I love it. It's so beautiful and the way you talk makes it very easy for me to imagine I'm actually able to go for hikes and there with you! I almost feel like a normal person!
Omg!!! What a hike!! I was gripping my tablet and couch for dear life 😂😅, especially after hearing that wind at 45mph!!! 😯😯😯 But well worth it after seeing the video!!! Absolutely amazing!!! Glad they have those warning signs posted, those drops are really scary; not to mention there's still "Snow" in July!!! Wow!!! PS: 50 degree weather is freezing to us "Southern Boys"!!! 😅😂 Love your videos as always!!!! ♥️
Glad you showed this, a lot of people climb up there with no clue how tough and dangerous it is. I've never had a day where it wasn't windy up there.. it's always windy!!
I rode that train back when they were still using steam and coal. It was in October and it was clear and mild on top, with only gentle breezes. The forests were laid out below like a quilt in their fall colors. Live on the opposite side of the country so I have never been back.

Amazing! Thanks for taking me along on your awesome adventure. I always think how much our states look the same and then you take me up into the mountains and that's where the similarities end.The fog was so eerie but beautiful! Thanks for the great hike!
Awesome video! Climbed Washington 5 times now, Huntington 3 times, twice with full gear. Definitely gets your heart rate going hugging the sheer cliff face. Not for the faint of heart. Looks like this was an awesome hike with fantastic weather, love it! Keep it up!
It is beautiful there. What an adventure. I'd never be able to do that myself but I'd be one of those who would take advantage of the train. Thanks for taking us along. Peace.
Bravo! Mr Post 10! I climbed Washington twice when I was your age, now I am not able. Watching your video made me feel as though I was on the mountain again! I can’t remember how many mountain streams I filled my water bottles from. Back then one could do that. Best water I’ve ever tasted! Thank You! I like all your videos but this one was something special!

As someone who discovered your channel for the drains and also grew up in Littleton NH you have been destroying my mind and making me so homesick lol Thankyou for real.

This was so much fun :) Because my mobility is so bad from multiple sclerosis, I can't hike trails like I used to even just 5 years ago! This video straight up took me back to the fun and adventure. My favorite was you taking a selfie with the summit sign :)
Another wonderful adventure. You make it look so easy but we know it is a huge undertaking. Thanks for bringing back some happy memories of the summit. Hike on, Post10, and be careful out there.
I remember seeing you once in a video with an untrimmed beard. I really like this current look much better. You look like a fresh young man. Keep up the good work, cheers
