Absolutely love the DeSmith save. Full on Superman style and punching that puck right out of the air!
It was crazy. Should have been # 2 behind Flower, which would actually make him #1 considering Fluery has the top save of the season every time. Thats just a given that our minds will be blown by Flower season after season.
DeSmith's punch save was insane and Fluery's reach back to make the save was ridiculous, dude's physicality is off the charts. Flower for Vezina. Let's go boys

There were so many unbelievable saves this year. Kudos to whoever came up with picking just a top 10 for this.
Nice to see Holtby's great windmill save on here. Most Canuck fans seem ready to drive him personally to the airport to make him leave Vancouver but I thought he did a respectable job this year trying to backstop a terrible defensive core in front of him.
I mean 🌸’s save on Lundestrom has to be number 1. My goodness was that spectacular.

I've always thought the "goalie sticks a glove/paddle/arm out into an open net in desperation and the opponent shoots it right at it" saves were overrated. Give me saves like #7, where he tracked and clearly adjusted to stop the puck, instead of closing their eyes and praying.
Just because they barely got there in time to save it doesn't mean it's luck. You just think its luck because YOU could never do it.
There are times when we don't have time to track and adjust to the puck.
You are right to some extent, but there often is also more then luck in it. I can't explain it propelry, but I my self have made some of those "game saver" saves in a way like I "feel" where to place some part of my body or sitck and the player shoots at it. Ofc there is luck element, but even bigger part is the goalies intuition and understanding of the player and situation to get the "feeling".
It's called instincts, reflexes and making yourself as big as possible no matter the situation. Talbot's stick save on Kolesar is anything but luck for example. Low probability does not make it luck either.

Fleury is every single time top 1, just because he is from NA. I'm pretty sure if that save was made by Korpisalo or something, he wouldn't top 1. Besides I have seen that save multiple time, for example Petri Vehanen in IIHF world champs 2011.

I don’t know about anyone else, but the save Alex Lyon did in one of the last Flyer vs. Penguins game should’ve been in this. Some of these saves weren’t that exceptional
