To all western audience, I must tell you that I have heard about many re incarnation stories in India as well. So please don't think that this is a false stuff.

Let me present another perspective. Moksa is the state one reaches through enlightenment, which ends the cycle of rebirth. So if this boy is the reincarnation of the Lama X (his name is too long), then Lama X has NOT reached enlightenment, correct? So ... why follow the teachings of Lama X? Lama X has failed in his spirituality, and the boy (the 10th) is proof of that. And why is Lama X only being reincarnated as a male? What happens to the poor females in the world of reincarnation? If reincarnation is true, where are the extra souls coming from, given that the population is always expanding?
Someone told me that the present Dalai Lama (14th Lama) is so spiritual, that he described in such detail the trip to the moon, it is like he personally made the trip, but we all know he hasn't been to the moon physically. This is considered one of many proofs that he is an enlightened being and capable of seeing the past and future. But he didn't see the Chinese invading and taking over Tibet? One of the most significant events in his life? He had to be smuggled out of Tibet with the Chinese army virtually on his doorstep. Tibetan monks had to take up arms (prior to this they had a philosophy of non violence), in order to slow the advance of the Chinese, which gave the Lama just enough time to flee to India and become a refugee!!! I have doubts about his abilities.
