This is transformational. Everybody knows connections can be valuable but this made it more digestable. Also reselling yourself on your goal and actually having the conversation with your ego about why it makes sense to do it, the hints at the danger of listening to people instead of watching them, the view on connections between people, inflation etc are highly valuable. Playing the long game with clear goals in mind and fully committing to leveling up (and giving up all you have for what you want) is inspiring and insightful.

When Grant asks, "Does it make you uncomfortable?", you could tell he wanted to lean on your expertise. Your answer was perfect! Thanks for teaching EVERYONE how to play this game! Now, I gotta listen to it again and again until I absorb your answer and make it my own, lol.

You spend your most attractive years, i.e. your 20s, finding a rich husband. Not partying, not studying for a degree to get a career, not trying to become a “girl boss” etc.

I remember that interview and Grant looked stressed about that deal and when Lewis said "Well..why not 10x that.." LOL Grant looked very unsure at first, but then you could physically see how lewis' idea really sparked something and excited Grant. It was magical..every meeting between Grant and Lewis is like that. Love it! So inspiring!

Lewis, the talk is amazing. Really enjoyed it I am 37 Years and I really need a 360 turn. Currently struggling and feeling Like I am in a break point in business. Always wanted to make it in business and Create an African sucess story but its been really struggle. Here in Africa its even tough. I am promising myself I have to make some turn before I hit 40.

Hey bro, you probably already have a plan in mind. In my case what worked for me was working really hard for five years. I mean really hard, two full-time jobs. I then started to make more than just what was needed to pay bills. At that point I tried a couple of businesses. I wasn't too happy with these so I moved to a different industry where now I have found financial freedom.
You can't just sit around and hope for a change. You have to make it happen. Forget about friends, women, parties, and work like an animal for five years

About that happiness meter with Grant. I really thought i was truly the only person that doesnt really know how to measure happiness like a temperature. If someone asked me if i was hapoy i really dont know. I know im not msierable for sure but not "happy". I coukd be but i dint know. I would also put myself around the 5 scale out of 10. Maybe its because im not sure how to define it? Im glad im not the only one. Wouldve been great to conenct with Grant about this stuff and others. Let me know if anyone related or knows how to measure
its a state. it is a part of just being and living. if that makes sense?
its like breathing or waking up in the morning, as soon as you start to measure it, is when you can have the illusion of losing it. I get it but not really sure how to articulate it...

I’ve seen businesses dump / destroy milk, eggs meat or produce just to keep the price high. The market doesn’t work in the traditionally taught ways any longer. If a big company fails or is irresponsible, we bail them out for millions or billions. But if you loose a career job at 50yo at no fault of your own and have to work in service industry, there’s little to no safety net.
