    Open by appointment today.
    Closing its doors tomorrow.
Enjoy your declining tax base, CA. :/

Straight out of The Book Of Bad Ideas. The doors on Post Street and the perfumery have been covered in film to prevent people from looking in, making it uninviting. The perfume counters have been cleared of samples. Yesterday I jokingly asked a guard at the doors "how many shoppers are in there, 10"? He replied, "less!" A problem with luxury stores like Saks and Nieman's is that there is a lot of overlap in their merchandise because they mostly carry the same tired labels: McQueen, Gucci, Balenciaga - there's really very little variety to choose from. These stores used to have their own labels of clothing, like shirts, underwear, sweaters and soap. That's all been gone for a long time. Saks on Union Square has had few shoppers for years! There have been more sales associates than customers. Now, this dumb "curated shopping experience" to serve a select few. Do shoppers really want someone tagging along, making commentary, gathering info about them? No thanks.

Saks SF barely has staff there to help you on some floors, on some floor the staff will follow you everywhere. Plus the collection/ brands they have are basic either or outdated.
