      Thank you sir! I appreciate this. I focus more on how i would do it if I am breaking my own video down as it has helped me through the years to my students. Thank you for the comment.

    Love these types of videos! Used to watch supergrandchamp and they had overlays of each shooter’s stages but they since stopped. These stage breakdowns by Jj are also quite detailed and explain a lot. Please do more

    Watching this makes me realize that I really have A LOT to learn in order to be really good at practical shooting. Watching a Grand Master shoot is cool, understanding the small details in what makes them so good is incredibly valuable. Thank you JJ for sharing this!

    Excellent vid! Thank you JJ! This stuff is gold to a shooter. Stage breakdown is my weakest part of my game. This vid gave me some areas to focus on.

    I like your point about crashing into position. When it’s smooth it feels like a steady stroll in the park and it looks almost slow vs guys constantly sprinting and stopping look fast but they spend too much time speeding up and slowing down vs continually shooting.
    It’s a hard habit to break especially if you grew up playing sports and you want to leverage that speed with your feet but it’s not about running fast it’s about shooting more often

      I'm late on this comment, but it looks to me like JJ implements very high level sports type athleticism. It's an impressive level of training and dedication to develop strength and muscle memory.

    What a great guy! I so wanna take a lesson from him. I really think he can help me at my advanced age with what are the most beneficial things to work on. I sure cant move like that but I certainly understand the smoothness he is referring to. I am so herky-jerky. And I sure need to keep that gun up! Great, great video.

    Comparative video analysis is an essential tool IMO. I was lucky enough to squad with an IPSC national champ recently and then compare our stages . On one stage, in which we both won in our respective divisions , I was able to see how his superior “flow” gained him 2.44 secs over my run and plus 4 more points scored. Then I work on whatever corrections I need to make.

    Thank you JJ for sharing this awesome breakdown! I've a question for the first stage, if I mirror image your stage planning and shoot from left to right. Would it be even faster? Since I will be moving forward instead of backwards.

    ...do you believe training & practicing for sport shooting vs. combat shooting with-in the same stage/course-of-fire as in, according to what some say on other/different videos, foot movement/placement/placement of feet as moving....???? in other words - shuffle side-side vs stepping over in front or behind.....what do you recommend ??

      @@TacticalHyve I THINK he's talking about crossing feet vs not crossing feet when moving laterally.
      But it's really confusing haha

    • @joel553009
      @joel553009 Před rokem +2

      Cross not shuffle. Shuffle will cause alot of extra shake like JJ explained. With Cross you can shoot while 1 foot is in the air and hips are orienting to next target
