If money wasn't a problem, I would have both, for the advanced and unsurpassed technological features of Korg Pa4x, but wait for the original rich sounds from the SD9. Any instrument on the SD9 played from another room away from you, and you'd swear it was the original instrument, especially the guitar and accordion sounds...

i suoni korg sono davvero estremi, al limite del metallico.
ovviamente questa è una scelta di marketing distintiva ben precisa, e può funzionare se si ascoltano singolarmente, infatti la risonanza dei suoni korg sembra limitarsi esclusivamente alle frequenze medio alte, dando l'impressine di suoni più taglienti e accattivanti (e soprattutto distinguibilii dai suoni yamaha, che generalmente hanno valori di attacco e portamento del tutto differenti)
il problema è che quando si ascoltano tutti insieme, otto suoni di style di cui la metà polifonici, due di accompagnamento sempre polifonici e magari un pattern aggiuntivo, la sovrabbondanza di voci superaffilate alla lunga satura ed affatica l'ascolto.

Korgs sound engine is much more advanced. And it shows in this video. Tough the Ketron still sounds very good.

Korg guitars are more rich and articulated sound, Ketron metal acoustic guitar is fine too, flutes Korg far away, the Ketron´s accordions are very good a seems to me better that Korg

sales professionals say that:
1) the best is the yamaha Genos for the realism of the instruments
2) Ketron is best for styles
3) Korg is the best in musical creation.
BUT ...
1) today Korg Pa4X offers version 3 while Ketron has not changed anything.
2) Ketron SD 9 = 3.600 € ; Korg Pa4x = 2.600€ !! (+/-)

Korg have not a presence Sounds. The Soundcards of Korg is not really good. 16 bit sounds. Game Over.
