Good on Severin for making it right. Vinegar Syndrome is great also (like their replacements with the SHOWGIRLS booklet and UHD + BD) and Arrow Video (DONNIE DARKO UHD) always makes things right as well, eventhough they both sell through 3rd parties too.
Very hopeful we will get Friday The 13th Part 2 on a separate 4K. Ty again Christian. You are awesome and keep the great stuff coming please!

Opera is now a pre order on Severins own sight so it wont ship until the corrected disc is in the package for all the people that already bought it before hand will be sent the corrected disc

They did. I got replacement discs from them myself. I don’t know if you’re still able to or not though.
I rolled the dice and placed a pre-order with Gruv (first time) for A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4K steelbook. I also pre-ordered with Amazon though just in case lol.
I ordered just Opera from Severin, and got it two weeks ago in Canada.
Regarding the chat comment saying they don't watch in Dolby Vision so they wouldn't have been bothered, it doesn't matter if they were watching in HDR 10 or turned off HDR completely while viewing the 4k. The UHD is in the wrong colorspace, this impacts the picture regardless of trying to view with DV/HDR. There are reports of wrong colors from people without DV setups. The blu ray was authored in the correct colorspace and doesn't have the same color issues. Also I'm certain disc replicators don't also ship out to consumers. Severin has to wait to receive the fixed discs at their own warehouse/shipping facility, and then ship everything themselves still. VS for example always has to wait for their finished discs to arrive to them before they put on the slipcovers and ship out to customers.
I have the Friday the 13th 4K steelbook arriving tomorrow, and I would absolutely love if they released the rest of the series on 4K.
I have them all on DVD and I'm not sure why I never upgraded those, or Elm Street, to Blu-ray. But now that I've made to jump to 4K, I'm upgrading everything I love.
I may go back and buy them all on Blu-Ray if I don't hear anything about the 4Ks soon.
Cool news on Opera . I got my order in , about a week ago and as you state , this time around I had a small order (Opera and Danza Macabre v.3.) To hear that Severin is on top of the error , has released a statement and is making everyone whole by the fall without us having to jump thru hoops is so appreciated.
I only just found out about Warner Brothers exchange option for the 2023 Rocky box set ….. I reached out to them , and will get the corrected discs (all 4 4k’s) ….. I have to wait for a WB shipping envelope I think , then ship the discs to WB and wait for the correct discs to arrive . No problem tho as I ordered via Amazon so they wouldn’t have my personal mailing address (although I’m not sure if I could have ordered direct from WB.)
Good on Severin !! It shows that they care about their customers and their own rep as a specialty label . WB I’m not upset with - they responded to me directly and very fast .
As for Scream Factory , I’m not sure what to think . I generally haven’t had issue with their discs ….. I’ve only had 2 movies with the greasy post production film / cream in the plastic cases . At the recommendation of a buddy of mine , I used eye glass cleaner to gently clean the surface of the discs , and used windex to thoroughly clean out the cases . Generally I’m still a pretty big fan of Scream Factory’s work ….. however I would agree that initial offerings should probably be direct thru SF initially so replacement discs could be shipped immediately, easily to the customers until the correction discs are standard to additional shipped stock .

I'm beyond excited to get A Nightmare On Elm Street on 4K. I haven't preordered the limited edition version yet, but I am really wanting to. Just trying to convince my wife that I can't live with just a standard version. lol
I only ordered Overboard and Burial Ground on blu-ray and still haven't got any shipping notifications from Severin.

Not horror related but, now that I've upgraded to 4K, all I want is a 4K of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990).
Re:what specialty labels are doing well this year / having stellar year : I’d say Arrow US/UK but also I’d throw out the UK label Indicator / Powerhouse . Indicator always seems to fall under the radar . They do more catalog titles and films of artistic merit but with amazing bonus features. This year they’ve upped the ante by starting to add 4K titles , and the back catalog of French autere (????) Jean Rollins . They have 2 fall box sets on preorder of note for historical horror fans : Columbia Horror and Mexican horror / vampire films . Arrow is always hitting home runs out of the park , with US reissue of the Hellraiser 4K box , and impending Shaw Brothers box set , they had the truly amazing remastered 4K of The Warriors at the start of the year which has to be a dark horse for best remaster of the year .

With regards to Nightmare on Elm Street 4K series: might they be re-release each film in time for 40th anniversary’s instead of all together?? Possibly ?? Or at least the first few ??
this was the best part of my day today - bloody awesome and interesting to hear whats going on with 4K's as I have a player but only a couple discs and not even got the player setup, I need a new TV Im still using CRT's and 1080P TV's. so behind the times hehe

I’ve ordered 2 imports from Italy. Midsommar 4K which was region free and fantastic. The other being killers of the flower moon and was not region free. That was aggravating. Will wait for Friday the 13th part 2 states release.
My problem with Ken ( and I told him this ) is that he buys “ ANYTHING” he shows ZERO discernment for his purchases , he’ll say “ I’ve heard alot of good things about this film so I’ll buy it “ problem with that , he does it for damn near everything 😂😂😂😂😂😂, that’s crazy , CEREAL AT MIDNIGHT is the same way .. he buys every movie from kino lorber , he’ll buy like 20 titles regularly and I’m like dude ….” YOU WILL NEVER WATCH ALL THOSE MOVIES “
doing that shows they have no real taste in film and are actually just into collecting…they are not film fans … they are disc collectors …BIG DIFFERENCE
I’ve been disc collecting disc since 1994 with my first laserdisc ( THE THING) and to this day no lie I own less than 500 disc since 1994 and that includes tv box sets. …. Discernment at its finest.

I'm not giving Severin a thumbs up on this. They played the denial card from the beginning along with Karim Hussain who worked on the restoration. They were going to sweep this under the rug until they got flooded with emails about the issue and cancellations.
So is Opera shipping out now?
I only got two movies & one item from the severin sale, Opera, the last horror film & a Joe spinell hologram sticker and I still haven't got a shipping notification yet. So are they still gonna ship out Opera for the people that brought it during the summer sale & send the replacement later or are the people still waiting for their opera copy from the sale gonna have to wait into a later date to receive it? I use to buy from zavvi before I knew arrow video had a store or you could buy stuff from the arrow UK store directly. All my arrow video steel books came in good condition from them but they just ship them in a small cardboard envelope & they don't offer tracking for stuff like physical media releases in my experience. Their shipping can usually take up to two weeks in my experience. I just used zavvi about 8 days ago because they had a action figure set that was sold out everywhere for retail. I got tracking for that but it's a little confusing because they give me two sets of tracking numbers fedex & p2p. As of day 9 today I'm still waiting for my package so you might want to give a heads up that zavvi could be slow for people in the usa.
Too bad about Opera as I pre-ordered but at least they did the honorable thing and are sending replacement disc. I'm a bit disappointed as I thought it was going to be a perfect release. Nightmare? Why don't they just release a boxed set with ALL the movies?🤔

Hahaha don’t talk to me about scream factory replacements, talk about a nightmare. My Friday 13th boxset had part 2 missing and 2 copies of final chapter. It was brought through Amazon as SF don’t ship to the Uk. When I contacted scream factory they gave me a big fat NO!!! Unless I found someone who they could ship the missing title to in the US and then ship it to me in the UK 🤦🏻♂️ luckily I found someone but was an absolute shitfest. Cost me about an extra $25 to get the title to complete the box set correctly!

Atleast Severin is owning it and replacing. But CH this is getting old. How in God's name did Severin muck this up. All this preparation for the release and they missed this. I think it's just the almighty dollar ya know "just send it and we'll worry about it later. How does the average Joe with a 4k catch this before Severin.
So I got opera last week , how do I know if I need a replacement? So I don’t have to do anything and they will ship it if my copy is bad ? Thanks👍🎥🩸
