Today i gonna show you how to install a double din android head unit with common hand tools in your Honda CRV 1997-2001. The procedure is easy and step by step.
This require to buy a extra radio wiring harness adapter compatible with Honda CRV 1997-2001 to keep the integrity of you factory radio plug.

I did this and ended up putting back in the original tape deck radio after a month because those blue LED's drive you crazy while driving at night
I have same issue, I checked the orange wire is connected to illumination but the head unit don't change brightness, just I use Bluetooth menu and the screen becomes black background

Wired everything back and still not working. I checked the fuses, pressed the reset button, still no power on.
Does it interfere with climate controls at all? 10in seems too big for the space without running over the climate controls
No, it doesn't interfere with those climate controls and also, this head unit can rotate 180° , seems too big but it is perfect fitment!!!

Yes Sr, I did in that way to avoid headunit malfunction, sometimes the rca wires touch the metal frame ,this video is a reference how to basic swap a head unit in a 1st gen CRV

what double din size fits in the standard rectangle?
2din is pretty standard size , this unit has off set screen, fit perfectly in the crv 97-01 radio bezel, the screen is 10.3in
