    Wow, I've been collecting the egg shells for the garden but I've been using it all wrong😢😮😮😮I just put them in the juicer then mix it in the soil of my veggie patch. I also mix it in with my orchid bark when repotting 😂😂😂😂😮😮😮well I've learned something today. Thank you for sharing😊

      pleasure .. dont want to clog the airspaces in the bark with those egg shells . and the calcium is quite stable so it can be stored for long periods

    Awesome way to add calcium to your plants! Just be careful of that initial powder when you open the lid, not to breathe it in. I wasn’t sure of the amount to feed, so thank you for that!!

    Slugs and snails are very prevalent in my area. In fact, they are one of the top destroyers/pests of foliage. I use your crushed/blender eggshells in its dry form to control them. Just spred them around the perimeter your pots or planting areas after a rain dries and before/during a dry spell. When they cross your shell barrier the sharp edges of the shells cut their flesh and/or gets into their shells and kills them. But to be honest, your method cal/mag fortification while organic, is too time consuming for me. There are many organic calcium supplements on the market. Your video is still very interesting.

    How do know the concentration of the vinegar? Is ordinary household vinegar sufficient?

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany  Před 7 měsíci +1

      ordinary house hold vinegar is either 3 or 5 % it should say so on the bottle what % it is 👍

    • @suzisaintjames
      @suzisaintjames Před měsícem

      Most vinegars tell the percentage on the bottle. 💖🌞🌵😷

    Hey there. Do you have any homebrew recipes to somewhat fertilize phal orchids?
    New to this world but regular fertilizers available where i live do warn a lot of hazards and suggest you to use a respirstor when using it.
    I have confirmed my tap water is decent as I have a mini phal alive with minimum care for more than a year and blooming decently. I want to properly take care of it now and some others i recently bought.
    Sorry for the long post. Any chance to get a suggestion on a fertilizing regime? Im aware it might not be as complete as using the proper chemicals. But i bet something is better than nothing.
    Thanks and best regards

      sometime you will find the natural fertilizers are better for your orchids than the chemical ones and are easier to use and less likely to get fertilizer burn etc . I majority of the time use all organic products . There are a few other videos we have done for home made fertilizers : garlic : czcams.com/video/nf2cnzLEgrE/video.htmlsi=WtyAG0-5qj9qQmXx

    Hi! May I ask what the pH of the calcium water ends up being, as well as the TDS? Thank you

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany  Před 7 měsíci

      the pH is pretty much Neutral as long as you are sure the reactive elements are in the right quantities . I did not do a TDS test but with the chemical reaction that takes place we can estimate the % calcium acetate in the water with a fair degree of accuracy if all measurements are followed as explained in the video 👍I hope this helps

    is it safe to use along with Cal Max ...thank you

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany  Před 5 měsíci

      I am not sure what chemical reaction will take place mixing the two you may alter the ability of the plant to absorb the by products so I would use them separately . Use the Cal Max one week and the eggshells the next . What form of calcium is in Cal Max ?

  • @vesnag1231
    @vesnag1231 Před 28 dny

    My vinegar is 4%, does that makes any difference to the measurements

    • @thenaturecompany
      @thenaturecompany  Před 28 dny

      yes it will , you will just have to do the math to get the right mix ratio
