What afflictions have you endured to get to where you are, and did they make you better or bitter? If you don't make peace with your past, you cannot stand effective in your present or future. I’ve fought a good fight and am still fighting. 16 years now as single parent to 3 boys. One graduated college this year, one who was suicidal and hospitalized two years ago is becoming firefighter/paramedic and third is senior in high school who just received his first college acceptance!

Months later: I cleared my bar exams and now awaiting to be called at the bar a month from now. Am in good health with no traces of cancer after 3 years post chemotherapy. Am grateful to all your prayers and help

I really needed to hear this, I just turned 18 around 8 or 9 I started getting molested and raped by family members, then in foster care around 10 I also kept getting raped and started being abused....I've managed to work really hard in school to where I got accepted into Harvard University, somehow I kept fighting even when I wanted to commit suicide and give up in general on everything, But no matter what happened THE MOST HIGH was there for me and he gave me a little light that ended up leading me this far❤

I was also muslim. My family also did not want to accept me but now they have accepted me following Jesus. You are a child of a living God, he will never leave you nor forsake you

Actually, your past is the most valuable piece to your future. In my past, I wasn't cared for as a child, I was sexually abused. I was around adults who were to afraid to speak up for me when I needed them to. This caused me to have a fighting spirit. I developed the courage to do what most people wouldn't do in a lifetime, I spoke out. All by myself. Imagine, a little girl having to do the job of adults. No one listened though. I am a woman today and because of my bad past I am able to speak up for those who are over looked.
For all those being mistreated, what is done in the dark will come to the light. There no way the dark can avoid the light.

I've been feeling weak tired depressed stressed and very angry... I find myself looking up time to time smiling at him. And I keep pushing refusing to give up. But then I find myself thinking of going back to my past. But I'm fighting because I refuse to. I just feel lost
This is one of my favorites, I was hit by a truck while walking on side of road and was in coma for 6 weeks, doctors said I had a 1% chance to live. At the same time my family and friends and my spouse disowned me and everyone severely Gaslighted me for 3 yrs nonstop. I almost committed suicide. I started believeing in my faith more and that got me through the rejection. I lost everything except my life and faith. And you TD jakes, listening to you got me to keep my faith and still do. And with God. Thank you for you being you. I'm doing physical therapy still . Faith in God, and listening to you keep me going. God bless you and your family and your Church and all your followers and everything single person there.

God is good all the time. I was shot by my business partner for money he was not going to give I was leaving the business and he rather shoot me. I also was turned away from family no friends. I turned to God over the time three days coma and fight the pain. Only God helped my in that fight the pain in living life only God shown me the way. Amen

I've been going through an isolation season that has led me to just look back on the past and not let go of the good and the bad of it. This has helped me see, I am where I need to be. @Nilka I hear ya. My divorce was 8 yrs ago and I needed to hear this too because I was bitter. I'm just now walking in the new me, God stood with me while I healed!!! Through my brokenness it was rough for my children and I. I heard this today and did not cry🙌 I can finally pray for my ex and mean every word. I pray Gods best for you!!!🙏😁
