Hey would you like to comment on,
@12:50 Gurkha troops from British army fighting reds in Himalayas in Nepal.
@12:53 .. Gurkhas originally were Rajput warriors in India. Centuries ago they fled from muslim invaders Conquered Nepal , later the British recruited them ...
Gurkhas were Rajput warriors in India.
After fleeing from Muslim invaders in India they conquered Nepal is what I understood listening to the narrator.
This seems so unreal to us! Beautifully managed, super clean streets and cleaner Bagmati, no concrete jungle. Must be the golden age of Kathmandu! 🥺
Please let King back to Nepal
After Malla Era, this can come close to calling it a golden Era!
Teita vanya hau 😂kasto well discipline thyee rajtantra ko pali ma...bichitra thyio tetikhera, modern era ako thyena..😆
Ahhh back when Nepal was respected and had quite a good level and dignity.
Dont we get respected now also?
Don't we live with full dignity and respect at present??
No after the Massacre, Nepal went down hill and still is regressing...
The Civil War that made brother kill a brother... Pushed Nepal further into abyss of Political Infested Trench hole...
Every politician are init for the long run eating and ravishing National Income and Budget.
@@glassystudio didn't the monarchs do the same thing? except they had no opponents?
@@Hithere-qj1wj nope I live overseas and we are we get very bad reputation
Love from India. Wish those glory days of Nepal are restored.
Definitely the masterpiece from Golden Era of King Dynasty. 🇳🇵
Beautifully Portrait of Kathmandu sir.
Much appreciated 🫡
that time kathmandu was so managed and looking so good and peoples are also in tradiional dress...❤
So clean, so peaceful, so much respect towards our King. Glad that I saw this video.
Wow old nepal is the gold
Everything is so peace and cheerful .I wish there had a way to go back in time.I would really love to go to that time.☺️🤗
Sweden, Norway, France, Spain, UK, Canada , Japan & Australia all have monarchy till now. Nepali became overdeveloped by reading Kantipur and threw away their King .
Motherfucking Maoist and so called today's politicians on higher posts
Damn son
Most of the nations you have mentioned either were colonial masters or had early industrial revolution.
Nepal did none of that.
Hence, the fall of the monarchy.
@@Hithere-qj1wj Being a Neplease most of the youths like us leave county after Highschool coz here we can't do nothing because of poor government and low capital of money in dollars!
@@Hithere-qj1wj There was not any industrial revolution because of the rise of violent form of communism and late king Birendra was too kind to not kill his own subjects. 😎
Nepal looks more developed and advanced before than it looks now.
wow! proude for our country Nepal n oldest scenary like a heaven....
Nice 👍👍👍
Even though we r happy seeing this rare video, all i could see was the hardship of commoners, the way they had to carry that vehicle in such a hard road that too barefeet. The difference between the palace and the village is just so overwhelming, it seems like two different eras. They might be our ancestors working so hard for the luxury of the people that neva thought of their welfare.
Because of this coronation and king Nepal was able to establish more than 500 industries and more than 3000 km black topped road from zero or that limited to Kathmandu only, do look at that time from that times perspective not the lense of today where people don't think just open their mouth becoz they have one.
@@cleanenergy832 i guess everyone has freedom to speak right!!! So i can open my mouth and express my views!!! There are always many sides of every stories. I speak as a human being seeing the difficulties of another human being and not about the future development and all. Every creature born in this earth has equal right to live a proper and prosper life. That's what empathy and humanity is. Development and humanity can go side to side and we can example of every other country. Seeing this video the bikes and car was only useful for show during the coronation ceremony. I don't think the ambassadors would have refused to come for the coronation jus becoz we didn't have cars and all.
@@cleanenergy832
You're talking as if King overstepped his boundaries to establish industries and pave roads.
It's his supreme duty to serve Nepali people at the first place.
@@Hithere-qj1wj no your are totally wrong , it's not kings duty to come to the ground and make road, it's duty of every citizen, he has duty to lead and as far as i know he had lead this country pretty good. He has established the industry and as established a city so that trades can be facilitated, you should have known the things he has done before commenting here and be skeptical. Go and research first man, what industrial revolution Nepal has gone through during his tenure, from zero industry to more than 300 industry and we are much more independent to our industry during that time and just look at current situation ,all those good factory which have been earning much more foreign currency is gone now. Name of few industry, hetauda cloth factor, trolley bus, ropeway, butwal yearn factory, bhrikuti paperfactory, Udaypur cement, Janakpuri cigerattee factory, birjung sugar, Himalayan cement chovar etc. And all conservation area in Nepal is done due to him and we cannot forget Mahendra highway from mechi to mahakali, any thing you need to ask just Google the government industries established during his tennure,.
@@ishmriti524 really so you don't know how people's are treated in India during that time, and Britishers considers themselves the king of the world, similarly if they have not carried that load they would have gone to India and do the same things, in current context also same things are happening in India for almost all labour worker from Nepal. Being emotional is one things and be realistic is another. They will do all the labour no matter what you currently think and judge that time situation with your so called open mind due to European education. Oh modern day slavery is much more worse than that, have you ever considered what the hell our sisters and mother's have to go through the hell hole in Indian when they are sold by their own relatives and pimps from Nepal. So lips service is beautiful but reality sucks. So wake the fk up and open your eye out of European education open mind, what I do is always right and what other did is always wrong, isn't it???? All modern educated slaves go to america to do labour work in field and sweep in departmental stores is so modern and open minded right????? But due to him we have only 15000 people out of country for job, how about that. So analyse yourself what you said.

Thank you for this amazing video. It hurts my soul to see how white beautiful buildings of Indra chowk have been ruined. We had one job, just preserve what our ancestors had created. Hopefully I will get it see it again in my life time
Loved to see old Nepal, most beautiful, natural.

It's very amazing to see this old video. Our history and our historical Kathmandu. Thank You sir for posting this video. This video takes us to the very past moment where our grandfather or great grandfather live with. Really amazing..
Impressed with Nepali glorious History!!
Thank you for the antique video of old Nepal and Kathmandu.
I have been hearing Mayo clinic but only now I know how Mayo clinic came up and the man behind after seeing this video. We had heaven like city then. What a royal hospitality for guests. Now it is like a dream. Want to cry seeing our politicians' attitude nowadays. Really historical video. Full watched and shared. 🎉🎉🎉❤
Wow nice content watching here
Two completely opposite stories. Sufferings and destitution for common people, and extravagance and luxury for the Royals.
Exactly what I felt like. Most of the people commenting here don't understand it was not a golden era. It was only a golden era for the Monarch. Most people lived under poverty or way below it.
Amazed to watching the past events 😳
Wow such a amazing old Nepal Kathmandu 💓

What a beautiful kathmandu city of Nepal you have presented to us. Beautiful time when there was a king.
Thank you so much...
Our King 👑 was great and loyal to country ❤️
Beautiful?
Wait until you know the same king gifted some major ancient artifacts to foreign delegates.
Sounds not so beautiful.
@@Hithere-qj1wj ya bro he was not like your loving Politicians selling land ❤🩹
@@shivampokhrel8644
Selling lands?
I heard we lost Kalapani during H.M. King Mahendra reign when Indo-China war happened.
Surely cant count it as selling, maybe just ignoring a part of his subjects cuz he was busy gifting statues to foreign ambassdors. 🩹🤕
@@Hithere-qj1wj then why there is an independent day for most of the country they lost the war so why did they get the land back if you talk that way then UK should had half of the world right now

what an incredible piece of art and history! the most exciting among all I had to come across before!... and I have seen many!
could you share details or contact of owner of footage? I would love to try to covert it into immersive format of 360 video, with propper undistortion.
It's really amazing for me to see such panoramic format, as I was asured to feel myself as one of very few persons to be first to film Nepal in 360-format a decade ago! Such a surprise to see somebody did it more than half century before =0
Thank you for your comment. i will add the details in my upcoming videos. Once again thank you for your suggestion.

I indeed that people was poor but was well managed and beautiful
I indeed that People's of that time were illiterate but were hardworking and discipline
I indeed that economy wasn't that high
But had great respect
Don't blame the government
First citizens should doubt themselves
Yes, well said my friend
Still Nepal was the poorest nation on earth don’t think only Kathmandu is only a Nepal or some few parts like pokhara or dharan etc. during that time none of our Nepalese provinces were given any priority for the development yes obviously during this period people were illiterate and afraid to raise their questions against King .

ek dum sahi ho sir

By the way, do you happen to know Mr. Gaya Prasad Ulak from Kavre, Nepal? I was just curious because of the similar surnames you share. Gaya was my classmate in high school.

Those people who says kathmandu or nepal is beautiful, nepal was beautiful back then where there was no over population, green everywhere, clean but now it has changed alot. I get goosebumps when ever i see our kings used to get so respected all over the world and now these politicians has loss all the respect, now even when our prime minister goes to india the indian prime minister doesn’t comes to pick him up. Thats because they don’t carry them selves as a proud prime minister, they haven’t done anything so they can carry themselves as a proud minister. That so sad.
Cant believe this was nepal...
Golden Era Kingdom .King Mahendra Kingdom Nepal . Proud to be Nepali ♥️♥️♥️
