EV cars are good saving if you have roof solar system with sufficient capacity installed in your house the resale value is bit questionable in Sri Lanka as the battery pack replacement is highly expensive it is the duty of the government to facilitate as of now hybrid is the best option as the battery replacement is relatively low in comparison to EV

Please see my above comment. I don't know about Sri Lankan units(Tariffs). However in a nutshell, a standard power socket will give you maximum 2 KW. If the car battery is 50 KW, it will take around 25 hrs to fully charge a car from 0% to 100%.
