Great makes,Karon! I love the addition of the flutter sleeves on a basic shirt dress. They add at bit of zazz while still staying true to the original silhouette. It's an idea I may borrow 😊.
Yes, you should wear your makes. Every day is a special occasion. 🎉
Yes, please try the flutter sleeve it's a cute addition to a classic style. I definitely have started wearing my garments. Thank you for your feedback 😊
Very happy to see your makes. You go with classics that are always in style. Enjoy seeing your work inside and out. You really have an elevated skill level. Very nice fabric selections. Thanks for the inspiration.
I appreciate your kind words, which encourages me to improve as I learn and grow. I am happy my work inspires. Thank you for watching.
Love the shirtdress and your wonderful sleeve hack! Considering that shirtdresses used to be everyday attire in the 50s and 60s, it's perfect for a grocery store run. 😊 Enjoy your beautiful makes.
Thank you, and I appreciate it.
I love when you say...”why not”. I second guess myself when sewing. I mean it’s just fabric right? You my favorite sewing channel.
Kathy, you are very kind. Yes, I question myself sometimes. I appreciate you watching. Thank you.
Your work is amazing. I have always wanted to perfect a button down shirt and since I found your channel the inspiration has risen. I have loved all of your makes and hopefully you will wear each one with joy.
Hello Mary, I appreciate your kind feedback, and I am happy you have been inspired. Yes, I am learning to wear them all. Thank you🙂
Karon, your makes are always impeccable! I would love to see how you do your French seams. The sleeve choice on the blue dress was perfect, and you’re right: long sleeves in summer make no sense.
Hello, thank you. Yes, I changed my mind about that sleeve. I do have a video on the channel showing how I sew the French seam on armscy.
Beautiful sewing! Love the fabric and contrast. Im in love with that sleeve hack!!! ❤ what a gorgeous dress! I need to do this. I avoided that simplicity pattern because the sleeves are too narrow for my biceps. But this is a great idea for me. Thanks for sharing!
I love the sleeves too and can get more flexibility from the pattern. Go for it😀
yes please, wear your makes!! they are awesome!
I definitely will, thank you.
2 more beautiful makes that I am loving. Good choice for the sleeves on the dress. Looks so crisp, fresh, and “put together”. Wear them! Celebrate the fruits of your labor🎉
Thank you so much. I definitely have begun wearing them. Thanks for watching.
I love it❤ This shirt dress is worth a lot of money not only for the time and material, but the quality alone is what set this shirt dress apart from Walmart specials. Cheap folks say I can get that from Walmart let me see you do it. I great job 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you for watching and sharing your feedback 🙂
Two lovely makes! Beautiful inside and out. I love your attention to the little things and the sleeves of the shirtdress.
Hi Susan, thank you for watching and sharing your feedback. I am happy you enjoyed the little details. Happy sewing 🙂
So smart to make something you will wear often so you can enjoy the fabric you love🥰
Yes, Jackie, it definitely makes sense. I am learning as I go, and things and ideas evolve as I learn throughout the journey. Thank you for watching.
It would be nice if you could do a live sew along.
Your sewing is impeccable!!! Love watching your videos too. You should do a sew along also!!!
Thank you for watching. You are very kind, hopefully one day I might do a sew along.
Beautiful makes, I appreciate you sharing your problem solving. Please celebrate your successes, your work is grand!
Yes Pat. Thank you, I am learning to appreciate my work and adapt when I have challenges. Hopefully, this experience teaches me some lessons in patience. Happy sewing, thankcyo so much.
More pretty clothes, you really are a gifted seamstress! I have only seen a couple of your videos and hope that one day I will be able to get back to my old sewing skills and produce lovely things as well.
Very kind. Thank you, but I hope you get back to sewing soon.
Beautiful fabric!!! You do beautiful sewing. Your finishing is awesome 😎
Thanks for watching. I appreciate your kind feedback.
Gorgeous makes. Apricot print buttonholes turned out so professional with that fabric stiffener.
I’ve fallen behind on your videos but am now binge watching while ironing. Agree with stitching belt down both sides. I say this as I’m wrangling the shop apron straps I did for my spouse at the ironing board. Hindsight! BTW-the sleeve you added was just perfect for your dress. A little flirty but still modest! Totally agree with the comment about detailing your French seaming of your pockets.
Hi Beth, yes, the fabric stiffner works well for buttonholes. I appreciate your time taken to watch. Thank you. We learn as we go, and I am happy to share . Happy sewing🙂
Both pieces are stunning ❤. I adore the dress x
Ruth, I appreciate it. Thank you.
Absolutely loved both garments! Great job as usual , your work is amazing!❤️❤️❤️
I appreciate your kind words of encouragement, Deidra. Thank you.
KARON ,You finally made your shirt it came out really nice out of that fabric , like your shirt dress like how you change the sleeve on the dress the change look nice, happy sewing.
Hi Darlene, yes, I finished the shirt. Thank you for watching. Happy sewing 🙂
Beautiful work as usual. Would you consider making a video on how you make the French seam pockets? They are beautiful.
Thank you. Sure, I will create a video of the French seam pockets the next project I create that requires a pocket.
Gorgeous makes as usual! I always look forward to your vids! You have a fan in me for sure!
Hello Margaret, I truly appreciate your kind feedback and support. Thank you so much.
Love them both!
Thank you for watching 🙂
I love your choices. You did a really great job. Thank you for sharing your work.
Hi Sharon, I appreciate you watching, so thank you!!!
Your makes are always beautifully done. Nice job. Your Fabrics are beautiful. Thanks for tip on the belt. I get frustrated when the belt becomes twisted in the wash. Sewing both sides makes sense.
You are welcome. It's good to share as I learn. Thank you for your kind feedback. It is truly appreciated. Happy sewing 🙂
That shirt is absolutely gorgeous! You do such incredible work! Love it!❤️
Thank you, Patricia. I appreciate your feedback.
Both makes are beautiful! Love the sleeves you put on the blue dress 😍 You have incredible craftsmanship. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos.
Hi Lyda, thank you for your kind feedback. I appreciate you watching.
Beautiful makes
I appreciate it, thank you!
Just enjoyed so much the first music you started your vlog with. It stopped too soon.😊
Awww, thank you so much. I did, too, but it's hard to strike a balance on when to end it.
Lovely makes!
Thank you!!
Beautiful makes as always. You are motivating.
Thank you for watching and providing feedback, Lucy.
Wow Karon, I love that apricot fabric and the shirt with the contrast and french seams are perfect! I bought a similar pin stripe blue fabric from Joann's. But I love your dress!! Wow. I agree with you about the belt detail. It does make a difference. Great idea on sewing the edges to keep seam flat. Love your New Look floral dress.
Hello Grace... thanks for the tip about the Apricot. It's a beautiful print. Yes, I am sharing tips as I learn solutions. I appreciate you, and I am anxious to see how you use your stripe fabric. Happy sewing 🙂
@@cookekaHi Karon, I want to make Butterick 6753 View B. I just don't know when. It looks like a great pattern for the striped fabric. 😃
Beautiful shirt! Your work is so beautifully.
I appreciate your kind comment. Thank you.
Beautiful garments as always.
Thank you Vanessa.
I loved your two projects. I think you are a very conscientious sewist. You consider the complete outfit, down to the belt. You gave much thought to how the belt would be made/look. Again, great job. Keep the videos coming. You are an inspiration to me.
Hello... your comment encourages me to keep going. We easily forget to appreciate our journey, growth, and the inspiration the work provides. I thank you for watching and providing your support!
TY 😊
Hi sis I like that blue dress cute.❤
Hi sis, thank you hun.
Beautiful! I love both makes.
Would love to see how you finish your shirt dresses so neatly. Does it change the order of construction from what the pattern says? I would love to see how you do the french seam on the sleeves and apply tape to the waistline.
Thank you. No, doing French seams does not change the order or instructions in pattern directions. I simply do the French seams instead of finishing the seam the traditional way. Once I have joined the bodice and skirt, I sew bias tape enclosing both edges. I do not enclose the actual seam.
Thanks Karen 👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾
You are welcome Susan.
💜💜💜
Did you washed the fabric before you sew both makes. Your makes look for very nice.
Wanda, yes, they were washed. Thank you.
I am looking for a new machine- What machine do you have? the button holes come out perfect - It is the machine or do you do anything different to make them that way. Good tip on the new interfacing - Any info would help! Thanks!
Linda, I have a Juki F600, and I do nothing different. It's all the machine. Hopefully, this information helps.
Love the shirt, did the pattern come with a FBA?
Thank you. It does, but I did need it as the darts in the back always fix the excess fabric in that area.
I was asking about a full bust adjustment. Maybe you have not heard of it. I looked at the patterns and didn't see "Cup Sizes". Here is a link that explains czcams.com/video/oCAxT6PSC3s/video.html. It's from Lifting PIns and Needles
