    this was when eastenders was at its best, good writing, good storylines, and the scenes between just two characters, they should bring this format back

      These sort of scenes are coming up on drama now there in 2002 building upto the brilliant 03 era den,Andy, than the brilliant Johnny Allen and phil and grant returning to save peggy

    Den was just epic, they should've kept him. You need a character like him to keep things moving. Archie Mitchell was just a bit TOO evil. Den was just right :)

    The one thing EastEnders missed when Den was brought back in 2003 is that we never got an eventual storyline with Den and Grant Mitchell or even Den and Peggy Mitchell. If Leslie hadn’t of been sacked we could have seen Grant and Peggy Vs Den and Sharon but sadly with Leslie passing away Den would have been killed off again in the end

    was a brilliant scene and so relevant to eastenders and its history,den actually looks like an older version of his younger self here which is in contrast to his aged look with hair brushed back and leather jacket,its a pity what happened in reality dictated dens demise.

      They treated him like Leslie Grantham and not the character Den Watts. The storylines with Grant and Peggy would have been epic. Eastenders missed the ball here. Ok the Internet scandal was bad but it would have blown over in the year. Wasn't this the same year Steve Mcfadden was caught dogging?

    Well said Lynda. At one time there were so many great Eastenders videos on youtube, but thanks to the BBC all we have now are stupid little teasers. Makes me happy I don't bother with a TV licence.

    why exactly do the BBC take full eps of EastEnders down anyway? I wouldn't mind if they were on DVD or sommin, but they aren't. They just yank em' off youtube and leave them to rot in some warehouse. Either put em' on dvd or let people upload them !

      😂 the homes in Albert square aren't developed enough to have washing machines but can have dishwashers etc which makes no sense...i would have thought they would have upgraded the homes that could fit washing machines in the early 2000's..😂

      I don’t think she was ever meant to be a beauty. She was very highly strung in the early years of Eastenders. She wasn’t particularly likeable then. But she’d evolved into a calmer person with great wisdom by this time.
