    Another tank with a heavy anti-tank gun is the Soviet IS-2. It's a heavy anti-tank gun which can also fire as medium howitzer (3 inch template). Also on that note the the Soviet A-19 field gun artillery is a heavy anti-tank gun which can fire as a medium howitzer (3 inch).
    Also the Soviet BS-3 100mm is a heavy anti-tank gun but ir should be a super heavy anti-tank gun as it's the same gun used on the su-100.

      The Pak44 128mm was a heavy anti-tank gun used during WWII. It had a velocity of 1080 m/s and contained a 40 kg explosive charge inside the APCBC shell. This charge could detonate after the fuse was hit, even if the shell did not somehow penetrate it's target. The APCBC-HE shell could still impact and cause serious damage. The Pak44 was mounted on the formidable Jagdtiger, which achieved a confirmed kill against a Sherman tank from a distance of 4.6 km, as far as I recall, in 1945.

    Yup I'm buying a tiger 2. Is it strong? Yes. Is it competitive? Nope. Is it getting fielded for fun? He'll yeah brother!

      Tiger 2 placed in defensive posture can do some serious work tho.

    The 234/4 can get a heavy AT gun and it only costs 180pts. Its survivability onion is permanently set on "don't get hit" though.

    Thanks for this series. It all makes sense. Question with the heavy and super heavy AT guns. Do they require a tow? Looks like some missions starts off with all the units having to roll to come on which makes the assumption they have to move onto the board. So do I need a tow to accomplish this? Or only if I want to move the piece after deployment?

      I will likely have to do a video solely on tows. One major issue with Super Heavies is that there’s few vehicles in each army that can tow them

      @@HollywoodWargaming but interestingly we Germans can tow our awesome FlaK 88s with super-cheap horse-drawn limbers!

      You do need a tow. Which is why if you have a heavy or super heavy, you would best use it in games where you can field some units during the set-up phase.

    bought the 88 but need to get some rules in order. Not much demos on how to play the 88. Questions. Will the Maultier be right to tow. Second If your flanked in a round can you swing your turret towards enemy to protect them from small arms fire.
    Third how dos the moving of the 88 work on the table say enemy mortar is zoning in on you and you need to move 2 inches do you need to use the tow, and how do that work.

      1. The Sdkfz 7 is the proper tow for the 88, though you can proxy the Mauliter as that and i’m sure your guest wouldn’t mind.
      2. Not sure if there’s any specific ruling on this in the rule book. But the 88 has 360° rotation so I believe it would count as being directional in its last fired arc.
      As for the tow I believe the weapon needs to be given either an advance or a down order to “hook up” to a tow. I rarely use tows myself so my memory is hazy and i don’t have the book nearby. I just remember that it’s quite clunky to relocate an artillery piece, and the 88 does need a tow to move.
