13 years after I first heard this song, here I am... it only becomes more true and more powerful
I think this song is just the most perfect song ever written. The rhythm is just like they say a tornado sounds, and the lyrics are so vivid.
Ethereal voice, storyteller, killer musicians, like nothing else.
Neko's lyrical perspective is certainly unique - a tornado in love with someone - just, wow. Something I can relate to from both sides of the lyrics.
She said she got the idea from a dream she had of a tornado that asked her to read a book to it since it couldn't hold the book.

This song is like eternal to me...i have a hard time remembering who i was before it, it seems like it's always been around for me.
This song is absolutely brillant. It's pure prose poetry that transports you to a vastness of dormant feelings. It brings sincerity, devotion and agony in a self-reflective way. Amazing.

My view of this song is that it is a commentary on "the problem of evil". The classic argument against the existance of an all power and all loving good.

I thought of this song near the end of "Something Wicked This Way Comes."
This tornado is just like all tornadoes: It stalks & bullies trailer parks. I for one am sick of it. Then later it says it loves me. I don't think I believe the tornado when it says that. If it loves me it would not pick up my trailer and bust it over a tree, then fling it on to the highway bridge.

But I don't understand why anyone should have to justify why they don't like either the song or the video(or lack of) or any of many other reasons they may have hit the thumb down.
