- I'm solo car camping in my minivan in the middle of the woods on a cold night! I was off grid car camping also known as Boondocking in my van. I love sleeping in my warm van on cold nights. Temperature got below freezing this night. Defiantly doing more car camping in the woods soon.

Like your setup, seems very relaxing. However, it looks like you parked nose first off the road. Always back in so you won't get trapped in or need to back up or turn around having make a quick get away, that's camping 101.

Even if I was a big navy seal, I wouldn’t camp alone and I would most definitely be carrying. Too many things happening to people out in the woods. Not to mention in national parks.
I camp cutting trees by myself 30 miles in the middle of nowhere I've never had a problem
I love vehical camping. Your dry, warm, and you have the protection of a metal box with wheels so you can gtfo real fast if needed. A tent cant do most of those.

I really love the van, I'm actually jealous. I'll have one eventually, until then I'll just keep hammock& ground camping. I'm used to roofing it out in the woods, rustic as you can go really. But I am ready to do some van camping, have a little more luxury out there.
I recently picked up my white van for only 3k and turned it into my dedicated camping van. Van camping is so fun, hope you can get one soon!

I recommend the 18,000 BTU one. Mr. Buddy heaters are God's gift to campers. Completely satisfied with mine.
I actually have the regular and big mr buddy heater now. This video is a throwback to before I got them. The regular mr buddy heater makes it super warm even on low in the van. The big one would be way to much for that small of a space
@@TolbersCamping Absolutely correct!!! I use the big one for tent camping in cold weather. Been out in -30 F and oh so toasty warm.

Tried sleeping in my cot 2 days ago. So amazingly uncomfortable. Main thing was the pillow was too big.

Always face your front towards the road. Never allow yourself an opportunity to be unable to leave in a hurry. 10 seconds maybe too late in a life or death emergency. I know, I live in a van.
