I would like to see more nurses talk to each other about" healthy living". Too many nurses eat poorly, seldom exercise or if they go to the gym they eat alot of package 'health food" which is not healthy.

He's saying people who had a 2 million dollar portfolio turned into 600k during the crash in pandemic. I don't know what assets your 401k is in but sp500 is only down 18% YoY. If your sp500 401k was 2m at the peak at 472$ per share, it would now be 1.6m at 380$ per share. Everyone should be financially literate when it comes to their retirement, changing your portfolio to conservative when you are getting close to retirement should be mandatory. If you leave your portfolio the way it is when you were young which is usually set into aggressive growth or growth and never touch it, you will suffer when the market pulls back on your retirement date. In the long run, the sp500 is still the way to go if you believe in the American economy.
We were talking about his crypto portfolio, my friend. So it's no surprise that most coins have decreased anywhere from 60% to 90% since their peak.
Jniks, I did mention there are a few people that I know that work in the same hospital that never changed their aggressive stance in their 403b. Which ultimately took away a lot of money that could have been used for their retirement. Like you said, a lot of people are just financially illiterate. I’m sure a bunch of the older nurses all over don’t even know to how access their 403b/401ks let alone change the investment strategy.

How would I get started with buying property and crypto currency is it still good to invest in? We are both nurses but we have 6 kids that we support and we live in Florida. Any advice on how to get out of debt?
The goal would be to increase your income to get rid of consumer debt. High interest, credit card debt etc. I personally wouldn’t be investing outside of my employer 401k/403b until that debt is paid off.
