It's kind of strange,the way the Alternate Birdie functions it's a similar way that Cartoon Cat functions, because Cartoon Cat only moves when you don't look at it,and when you go close to it,it will immediately attack you even if you were looking at it.Cartoon Cat is also known as an entity that shape shifts,I wonder if the Alternate could be Cartoon Cat in another form(btw the fact that Birdie's character is a lion, which is also a cat,it would kinda make sence for Cartoon Cat to copy his character)
Dark, I know a way to make infinite lava. But It takes WAY too long to produce just a single bucket. But it works. You have to have a cauldron and dripstone. Make the dripstone float above the cauldron and add the lava on the block ontop of the dripstone block and block it off so it doesnt fall of the sides. Then put the dripstone spikes at the bottom, then it starts dripping onto the cauldron. After a while, it should produce lava, enough for a single bucket. It takes a while, but then again, it works. Hope that helps!

Putting fencing on the top of the fortification walls might prevent any entities from climbing up the wall.
There is a way to get infinite lava: get a dripstone stalactite, place a cauldron under the stalactite, place lava on the block above the stalactite. Then boom: infinite lava. (It takes a while, be patient)
Btw,you can never trap a dweller from my knowledge,as the dwellers can only spawn around y'all,as the players,and even if you succeed,they will dissapear/teleport away.

If you want infinite lava, just use lava above a pointed dripstone hanging above a cauldron. It will slowly fill it up with lava
