How to identify good fishing spots (Rocky areas & Kelp)

- Really struggling this season to get some bigger Galjoen.
Scratching around for some edibles, walking around, searching for new spots and sharing my knowledge as far as i can to help those who don't know what to look for.
Guys, i'm not a pro. I'm just showing you what works for me and sharing what i have picked up through the years.
I started fishing on my own and learned the hard way, hard yards!
Learning where, when, what brings so much more value to a catch when you figured it out on your own.. but may this video help you.
Me and my friends would just decide to fish, don't know the tide, don't know the conditions, don't know what we target, just go by the tackle shop buy bait and go fish anywhere, and we didn't know why we are not catching any fish.

In this video there's no fireworks, but if you stick to this basic principals you might find yourself catching more fish regularly.
Now fishing is fishing ( great excuse) but you can never outsmart the fish, and never stop learing.

@@saltaholic5235 Hey man, geen probleem. Yes ek het bietjie verder af Weskus toe geskyf na Ganzekraal en het 4 Hotties op die eerste dag uitgetrek. Gaan volgende Grotto Bay doen en wil dan nog Yzerfontein toe ook. Lyk belowend :)

Thanks Emile, prawns Rooiels or Palmiet, mullets also palmiet or Kleinmond lagoon.. But theres always mullet in the surf or little ays in bettys, hangklips side👍

Hi, I would'nt waste my time if its East, South and Southwest..NW is good, gives colour to the water, the South Easter cleans the water quickly, but if you do get that ginger bear colour it would be good

Matthys, yeah thats the problem 70% of the time hehe, a tip is just to check on the weather apps to see hoe strong its gonna be..above 15 knots, it's going to start being unpleasant, above 20knots i would rather stay at home haha
People think its hard fishing in foul rocky places. Fishing between kelp is the most frustrating and expensive way. You don't just loose sinkers here. Here you break of leaders and main line.
Thanx, yeah i agree.. so easy to hook into the kelp even with a fish on. but fishing with circle do help a lot and also i started fishing 50lb with a 80lb leader. Fished kelp like 15 times now with the same leader

Howsit, i started with my Berkley Venom daimondback 12ft and Penn Conflict II LC 4000, and when i had to throw further i used my Berkley Venom Anaconda 15ft paired with a slammer 6500

Yeah it's safe, the poachers don't really bother us.
