    This was really a helpful video. I'm considering replacing my expansion valve...I now realize it can only by done by removing the firewall section. Thanks for showing how this all comes apart.

      I'm doing compressor condenser drier and thought...while I'm there I'll do expansion valve. I got all the plastics and wiper out then I chickened out when I realized all the things that would need to be disturbed by firewall panel movement (if my ac compressor doesn't fix my problem...I'll do it all the way and swap my expansion valve...and heater hoses whileI'mthere). Fair warning to anyone doing this job...if you drop a fastener...it will fall under the fuse box, down the well and end up behind the fender liner. LOL.

    While you took several hours to do that all I did was bend forward the firewall. Unscrewed the clamp and dismounted the heater pipe line. Did some shaving of the part so it goes inside the firewall. it’s a 23yr old car so worrying about making it perfect is not necessary. Good video though

      How did you bend the firewall?

    • @Airmanmx1
      @Airmanmx1 Před 3 lety +2

      Fayad Omar used a big set of channel locks and just bent it towards the engine

      Airmanmx1 just got it done. I actually moved up the entire firewall to access the part. It was faster than removing all the wiper equipment. It took some time but was way faster than what was done in the video
