@@red-pn9ge not using quilt because only 2 mods actually use it, none of which actually need its features, and it was designed to capsize fabric by deliberately being not backwards compatible. it was a malicious political stunt that thankfully failed

That endscreen, watching sunset with village views really touch my heart giving me my child perspective, where i imagine peacefully in a village like that. And then i always improve and protect the villager and act like a headman of the village.
Even tho im still doing that with improved gameplay and build. That feeling just hits different

I want to see something like this in vanilla, the Minecraft trailers show pixelated splashed and even raindrop splashed in water, I’m hopeting something like that gets added into Minecraft someday.

Currently you can disable any effect, and just last night you can now adjust which biomes exclude the cave dust effect

The only thing I miss is the water mist, you could have an incredible atmosphere with colored mist

Sometimes I don't need shaders to make the game look more alive, a simple visual and sound mod already did a good job
Awesome. Can I suggest adding waterfall sounds when you're close to the waterfall? That's one of the feature I loved the most from the other "lost mod".

Awesome work, I used to use Effective on the Quilt loader but both were just too slow to update so this is a fantastic mod to see. I do wish the fireflies were only one or two pixels, but that's really just nitpicking. Are you planning on continuing to add any original visuals? I was recently thinking that animated caustics would be an amazing effect to see underwater
Somebody actually wants 2 pixel fireflies? lol
I do plan on adding more features. Animated caustics sound cool, but they're probably a much better fit for a shaderpack
@@Chailotl Honestly I err more on the side of single pixel fireflies, I just think it fits the scale of Minecraft best.
Also, the caustics I'm thinking of are more like the ripples that rain has in this mod, i.e. a texture overlayed on blocks below the player while underwater rather than a shader effect. I look forward to seeing what other visuals you add!

I'm not a Forge developer, but others are welcome to port it to Forge! In the meantime, you can use Sinytra Connector to run Fabric mods on Forge, I've confirmed that it works for Particular

Well, well, well :) I don't want to be nitpicky BUT I see the influence of more mods here than Effective. In general, if the code is the same as those of the projects that inspired it I won’t be able to find out, but can notice the ideological and visual similarity. Most of the textures from the mods where these particles came from were not completely redrawn. The splashes seem to have changed the appearance, but they have reduced the palette rather than changed in form, and the rest seem to have been taken from the original mods without change. Although it is clear that for 2 pixel dust or 4 pixel leaves it will be difficult to draw many variations, but still. No negativity - I insist on indicating these authors and "send some love" to their projects, (besides Effective or Illuminstions by doctor4t):

Hi, thank you for commenting. All of Particular's code and assets are original, and it does not take inspiration from other mods. Most of these effects (including falling leaves and cake eating particles) are sourced directly from my Siltbox project, which dates back 3 years; the source is available on my GitHub. Other effects like the fancy water splashes were inspired by the Minecraft trailers, and the textures for it were generated with a JavaScript program I wrote myself.

(I don't think Modrinth even existed yet) Siltbox was meant to be my first mod, but it's extremely ambitious, and recently I shelved it and have been pulling out all the features I've developed for it thus far and releasing them as separate mods. Particular is not a fork of Effective, and its source code dates back several months before Effective's release
I currently can't get the game to boot up with the mod using Sinytra. The crash type is that which typically occurs whenever a mod is incompatible. Since I think you previously said it works fine with Sinytra, do you know of some known mods that are incompatible? I'd provide you with my mod list but it's pretty darn huge 😅
Does Particular work fine on its own? And if it doesn't, did you make sure to install its dependencies? Generally any crashes involving Sinytra should be relayed to their devs

@@Chailotl I've made a modpack with just Particular, Forgified Fabric API, OwOlib, Sushi Bar lib, and Sinytra but there's a mod loading error. The error log says both Sushi lib and Particular require version 0.15.7+ of the Fabric loader but the one present is 0.15.0, so I checked if I have the latest version of Forgifabric API and apparently I do (fabric-api-0.92.2+1.11.8+1.20.1).
@@quillion11 That doesn't make sense, Fabric Loader 0.15.10 is covered by 0.15.7+, I reckon you should ask the Sinytra devs what's up with that

(And like grape-wtf said in the next comment it shouldn't be a problem because Quilt mods usually work with Fabric, NOT always but yeah)
@@Alejvip 95% of the time quilt mods will work on the fabric loader anyways
Why are the water splashes green ?
The water splashes will match the color of the water, so if your water is green so too will the splashes. if this is incorrect then you may have a mod or shader that's messing with the colors. if you can figure out what mod is doing this and make a bug report on GitHub I can then try to fix it
@@Chailotl I found the culprit, it's actually the resource pack i use: Whimscape.
@@Chailotl It was actually caused by a resource pack, i quickly fixed it. On a side-note, are you planning on adding compatibility for the mod "particle rain" ?
Currently, the water circles don't work with it.

I would've suggested trying Sinytra Connector but someone reported it doesn't work. It's possible this might be fixed with an upcoming fix for a different issue but there's no guarantee

You need to download all dependencies, one of which is owo-lib, a networking, UI, and config library

that's wrong and it's a lie the people from quilt keep spreading, Most fabric mods do not work with quilt, also quilt is a wish version of fabric that aint even compatible with MOST FABRIC MODS

This MOD is probably based on Effective, right? The author, doctorr4t, is very picky about rights, so if you're not careful, you'll have no choice but to suspend the mod.
