Hi! PARIS Hackathon 3 - January 13-16, 2023
The Interdisciplinarity Award by KERING is given to the team that was most able to leverage several disciplines in the production of a scientific approach and a convincing business opportunity pitch.
Collaboration was boon for Team 11 - RENOV'AI to use their respective main strengths and reap their full benefits. Using many digital tools, the winning team shared ideas quickly and had all its members actively involved in multi-disciplinary work.
Team 11 - RENOV'AI was composed of Augustin Combes (ENSAE Paris - IP Paris), Gabriel Koutchinsky (HEC Paris - ENSAE Paris), Christophe Moreau (HEC Paris - ENSAE Paris), Thibault Valour (ENSAE Paris - IP Paris), Théo Vaneufville (HEC Paris - ENSAE Paris).
The Hi!ckathon 2023, a competitive AI and Data Science challenge organized by the Hi! PARIS Center, was held at ENSAE Paris - IP Paris on January 13-16, 2023.
Topic: AI & Energy Sobriety
Subject: Supporting Energy Transition: Toward modelling the energy consumption of buildings
- During 5 weeks before the final sprint competition, the students were offered a training program composed of courses, assignments and coaching on Data Science as well as weekly webinars held by experts of the corporate donors’ companies about the latest innovations in Artificial Intelligence and Energy Sobriety (see our previous news on the “AI & Energy Sobriety talks” www.hi-paris.f...
- Day 1 : Opening Ceremony with an industry round table with representatives of our 7 corporate donors (L'Oréal, Capgemini, TotalEnergies, KERING, Rexel, VINCI and Schneider Electric)
- Day 2-3 : Coaching and Brainstorming offered by Data Scientists from corporate donors during the final sprint to the participating students hosted at ENSTA Paris
- Day 4 : Award Ceremony with corporate donors - 7 teams were rewarded for their excellent work, evaluated by a jury of experts and based on their efforts to conceive a viable MVP. The teams that crossed the finishing line had successfully submitted 3 mandatory deliverables: a data science model, a scientific procedure document as well as a business video pitch.
