Hey everyone!! I’m finally back on my decluttering journey just in time for the new year! Not gunna lie, this one was my greatest challenge and perhaps the most embarrassing yet. I still have a long way to go in this room, but I figured I would take you with me from start to finish! Hope you dig it!

Decluttering by color groups was the only way I was able to get rid of.. really anything at all haha! I will use just about any excuse to keep makeup 😂🖤✨
Nice job! I wish you had broken this down into multiple videos and walked us through the decision process for each item. I could watch declutter videos forever haha.

About 3 or 4 Years ago I got rid of about 60%of everything I owned. It sounds dramatic but it turned out I was storing and keeping boxes, broken things, textiles and clothes that where beyond repair. It's was eye opening. Since then I have gradually picked at my stuff and I am still wanting to own less. My reason is very very personal: ADHD and stress sensitivity just makes me very sensitive to very messy environments. When it's messy and out of control it makes me feel unsafe,stressed and bad about myself. When things are some what organised, ok clean and when there is not too much to manage it really gives me a sense of both joy, calm and also a feeling that I am mastering my life. Everyone has such different needs but for me personally it's good to not have too much stuff. It makes me feel good. So I still work to declutter regularly when inspection hits! This video really inspired me and this week while I was home from work with a bit of an influensa I absolutely decluttered my bathroom 💕💕💕feels so great it's so tidy and pretty now and easy to clean!
The only thing better to me than watching lots of footage of decluttering is listening to people ramble about it! So much better than someone throwing music on top of it!

Liquid lipstick is life! I have sensory issues and gloss is just too sticky on my face, so the matte is a must! Liquid lip sister for life!

Tis the season to pass on clutter 😂😂😂 but I'm hoping this is the kinda clutter they want! My mom is already trying to get sneaky and get first dibs! 😂 Also YES love the Lime Crime shadows and my palettes have held up too! One of my favorite shadow formulas 😍
I would like to see you do a video on all the best vampy/your favourite makeup. And organize it by cheapest to most expensive to help out the ones like me who may not be able to afford a $40 eyeshadow pallet. Thanks if you take my recommendation id really love that video!!

I've had some Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks over the years - I think Androgyny was in there but was expired so I had to toss it, but it was one of my faves for a while and I plan on restocking. Also, I've been dying to try one of his palettes but the ones I want to try somehow end up being sold out (I wanted the Alien palette sooo bad) so I end up buying a different palette in the meantime. So no real reason... the stars just haven't aligned... errr no pun intended 😂
I just took an inventory, and I own 13 lipsticks. 1 was a GWP, and 1 is a travel size, but still! "Hi, my name is 20thcenturyrelic, and I'm a lipstick addict."
Also, 2 are unopened. 1 is a "go with everything" color that I keep in my purse as a backup. And 1 is a backup for a discontinued product.

I feel like this is such an inspiration for me. I am going to do this and separate makeup into 3 categories. Keep, donate to my makeup lovingnieces, and the keep for my nieces budding love of cosplay. Luckily for me, I don't have much in the way of foundations, blush, highlighters. Its mostly eyeshadows and lipsticks, which are my weaknesses.

Great timing to watch this video..... I've been up late last night cleaning, and it's nice to "clean along" with others. I had extra laundry to do.... my kid came down with strep, so I washed all the family blankets (and all towels) so I can tackle regular laundry today. Lots more cleaning to do in prep for Christmas. I'm sure I'll find more cleaning videos to keep in my groove going. Have a very Merry Christmas!

I don't have anything funny 2 say I guess but I thought u would find this cute idk. But whenever I watch a declutter or cleaning video of urs in general, my cat seems 2 kno when I'm watching them. So she'll sit on my lap & watch with me. It could be because something is moving in the video, but occasionally she'll look at me, look back at the video, & repeat a few times while purring. Maybe she likes cleaning videos lol. Just thought I'd share this, also hey Jade! :D
I have the other IKEA storage you have on the left and I store my larger palettes (like morphe) in those drawers with the the same concept you used for the small palettes, that way there not stacked on top of each other. I like those drawers because I like everything standing...concealer, foundation and sprays.

So how do you know what's expired and what's still ok to use? Especially with eyeshadow and other powdered base makeup. That little jar they print always freaks me out and I never know how long I can stretch them for
Ellini B if the texture of the product changes, it gets a funny smell, or starts to have weird reactions with your skin (& it hasn’t before), then it’s most likely expired but if nothing has changed and the product still preforms well it’s usually okay to use
I'm horrible, I have eyeshadow pallets I've been using for since the year 2000. I just always switch my mascara and liquid eyeliner often. I feel "wet products" would be more likely to grow bacteria. I've never had a problem but I know it's bad.....ooops, lol.
Yess the whole thing with weird reactions and smells is a huge indicator... so for example lipsticks that once smelled like vanilla (like MAC) may start smelling waxy (like vasoline) or just strange. Also with anything liquid that touches my eyes (mascara, liner, etc) I toss them after 3 to 6 mo. (this is why I keep so many back up mascaras and liners in their original box so I know what's been opened/used). For Foundations, concealers, liquid lipstick, lipsticks, or any liquid face product I hang onto them for about a year if they last that long. For eyeshadows and blushes I hold onto them for years as long as they are still performing. I've never had a problem with powder products expiring... not sure if it's because there's not a lot of moisture but I will say liquid lipsticks start to tingle when they expire so I always know they are a done deal when that starts happening. Also some of them get clumpy and dry. Anyway sorry for the essay - hope that helps!! 🖤🖤🖤

Your idea to put longer lipgloss in the bottom and shorter on top is smart! Idk if you’d want to now that you went through and organized everything, but you could flip the bottom/top lipglosses one way and put the other layer another. That way you can see the shade of the longer bottom glosses and still have the smaller ones on top too... did that make sense? 😂 love your channel ghoul!!it’s the only *alternative one I’ve found and love so if you have any you love and would recommend that’s be awesome 🖤🖤🖤🖤😘

my organized self loves watching you play live tetris lol. i love makeup but as a broke student, i currently own one foundation, one eyeshadow palette, maybe two mascaras, one lipstick and one blush haha. i’m dreaming of the day when i’ll own even two eyeshadow palettes so i can play with colors and different looks! getting pr is also a dream of mine, maybe one day.

You mentioned you had a lot of old makeup, ( years old), do you keep using the expired makeup until it’s finished or you throw them out? I’ve just heard using expired make up is really bad 😬.
So from what I understand it depends on what it is... I definitely don't use anything that's liquid if it's expired. If it's mascara I won't use it after 6 months... With foundations, concealers, lipsticks, primers, and liquid lipsticks I give them a year, but eyeshadows or anything dry I hang onto for years and never have issues. I don't know if it's because they are kept dry but they seem fine. 🖤

Omg no need to apologize I totally didn't mention it and love chatting in the comments so I never mind. It's Covergirl "Sweetest Taboo" from the Queen Collection which seems to be discontinued which is making me want to cry! I saw a few available on Amazon. Another CoverGirl shade that's beautiful and similar as far as deep and darker except a bit more on the purple side is "Back Talk" and I've seen that one at Target 🖤

Any tips on how to keep a tiny room organized or neat with a ton of clothes and shoes?
I struggle with my room and closet, so my tips may not be the greatest but some things that helped me were felt hangers (they take up less space than plastic or wooden hangers), using wall space for shelving or hanging baskets, displaying hats or scarves by hanging them on the wall or draping scarves on a coat rack, using over the door organizers, under the bed storage/drawers, storing away pieces that are not in season using vacuum sealed bags, and constantly searching Pinterest for storage and organizing ideas haha! Hopefully those help 🖤
