    hi thanks for the dorm tour!! lap chee is definitely one of my two choices now lol i'm a 2nd year but couldn't come to hku last year due to covid so this is my first time applying!!
    i have one question though, how strict are the rules really for dorms in jockey 3?? i heard they are strict on not decorating rooms but i saw yours and it looks so pretty and has a lot of decorationsss!! (context : i'm planning on bringing my mini posters, polaroids and stuff so-)

    Thank you for this great video! This really helps as I'm planning to apply for Lap Chee or Chi Sun College in the coming year. May I ask are there any events that are compulsory for residents to join in Lap Chee? Will these activities be time-consuming? Thank you so much!

    Anyways sis, i believe u eat food outside a lot , as you said RCs colleges dont have meal plans. So doesn’t it get expensive to eat outside everyday?? Or do u cook in the kitchen?
    Also, more HKU and overall Hong Kong vids pleasee!! ❤️

      aww thanks for the appreciation hahaha. i eat out or cook depending on the time of the semester, bc trust me finals season in hku is NOT the time to be cooking lmao. It's possible to get on-campus meals for like $30 so it's not too expensive i guess?

    Hey I’m doing an exchange at Hku and thinking of choosing either Starr hall or a hockey club, which one is best in your opinion?
    Both seem great but there’s 4 jockey clubs to choose from so I’m confused, please let me know I will be grateful! 🙂

      Heyyy! Personally I think Jockey Club will be a lot more fun and diverse, I recommend going for either Lap Chee or Chi Sun College, they're the two best ones lol

    • @centralpodium694
      @centralpodium694  Před 3 lety

      Lap Chee lets you pick whether you want a local, mainland or international roommate + you can pick between a single room or a double room. Of the four RCs, only New College pairs you up with someone of your own background (eg:- Indians generally have Indian roommates), while the other 3 colleges try to make it 🌈d i v e r s e🌈

    • @centralpodium694
      @centralpodium694  Před 3 lety +1

      Lmao lap Chees guest policy is a pain in the ass and the social life is fine but not the best. If you want a super chill scene you should pick St Johns college and if you want to sneak ppl in you should pick Wei lun, rc Lee or Lee hysan

    Thank you for showing this, also please reply to my comment of yours, need to choose soon 😅 Shun Hing or Lap Chee or Chi Sun 😓 so hard to decide, will they put me with similar age? Do all the halls have board games? I’m 24 from UK

    • @centralpodium694
      @centralpodium694  Před 3 lety +1

      lmao love that board games are such an important factor for you, idk how much free time you'll have to actually sit around and play them. i thiiiink lap chee might have board game and chi sun has the most aesthetic facilities so it's really up to you, they're pretty similar. i dont know about the other colleges but lap chee lets you pick between international/local/mainland and UG/PG for your roommate choices.

      @@centralpodium694 thanks for reply! Do they have monopoly and chess? 😅 I think I will put my preference in this order Shun Hing, Lap-Chee and Chi Sun 🙂 I’m 24 but final year UG so I will probably ask for PG international student to live with or could I still pick UG and they put me with age similar to mine? I’m still so confused to which one is best, what do you mean by Chi Sun aesthetics 😅 if you could choose again would you go with Shun Hing, Lap-Chee or Chi-Sun sorry I keep asking!
